It's amazing what you can do when people from different groups get together and cooperate. This great day of railfanning was the result of Steve Glischinski's organizational skills and done with the cooperation of the Lake Superior Museum of Transportation, MTM, Osceola and St Croix Railway, Canadian Pacific Railway and the support of the participating railfans from all around the country.

The Pan Am Railways OCS lays over at Old Town on 9/13/2020. This miniature version of the full OCS set was brought east by SD40-2 3403. I forgot the reason for this OCS trip, but it was one of about 20 the train made in 2020-2021 to show off the railroad to either customers or potential buyers. Which each trip was always dubbed as the "final" trip. Currently all the equipment but observation car 100 are in storage at CSX's shop in Waycross, GA.
Two employees can be seen loading coolers with lobsters and food into the ST 100. The other car in the train, was former CSX sleeper the ST 103 named after Syd Culliford.
The stub track branching off around the former MEC freight house in the foreground, is also significant. Prior to the Bangor and Aroostook building from South Lagrange to what is now Northern Maine Jct in the early 1900's, this was how the BAR interchanged with the Maine Central. The Old Town Branch remained for a time after rail service was moved to the new main line, and the right of way can still be seen along Route 16. The trackage in Old Town was retained by the Maine Central to serve a few customers including a bakery, which involved a fair amount of street running. However by the mid 80's it was cut back to the freight house and used as a stub track to store boxcars with MOW materials.

On a very dark October 1988 Friday, E9 510 leads Metra 144 on a West Line train leaving CPT. 510 has been restored by the Orange Empire Railroad Museum back to her Union Pacific glory.
I don't often shoot trains for trailing units but I'll make an exception every so often. It helps to have a scenic setting such as the old Reading Bridge too.
A gorgeous July morning brought us the eastbound 16T with three forgettable GEs up front. But behind those are what everyone was interested in.
The still-wearing-primer on it's new cab Dash 8.5 #8508, the...uh...awkward looking GS14B, a former Penn Central SW1500 turned toaster #2120, and new Sonic Bonnet DC-to-AC traction AC44C6M #4000.

Units are very important.
Due to a small problem with the plans the original Death Star was built 100,000 times too small. Although, technically, a fully operational battle station, the scaled down power of the superlaser only enabled this first version to destroy small to medium-sized fruit.
Unfortunately the Empire's first attempt at a planet-obliterating superweapon was destroyed when the cleaning lady accidentally knocked it over while vacuuming.
I was really impressed by the quality of work displayed in "Anton's Bait Shop" one of the lastest lego Idea set (21310) : i decided to turn it into one of my wall unit !
I had gone up here for the biomass but soon realised it was not suitable. The 4 car unit fitted nicely
