Union Square at Stockton and Geary, note the overhead wires for the trolley cars. (June 19, 2010 Update) St. Francis Hotel on the left. When we lived in SF in the early 1970's, they tore the entire square up and put in a giant parking garage, covered it back up, and it was difficult to know that they even did it - pretty amzing!
I am at home in New York for the first time in a year and almost surprised at how much I love this place and (nearly) everything about it.
