While the intro was in full swing, I decded to take a look around a flickr what i could flickr.

There was apparenly some contruction going on in the building diagonal from Socialtext (and The Princeton Review). This orange netting was meant to keep us out and safe from things like hammers and old-timey lunch boxes falling on our heads. It''s the same kind of netting they used to replace the fences in my old middle school baseball field, if I'm correct.

The bright orange is simultaniousely nostalgic and annoying.

It feels a bit like the "DO NOT ENTER" boundries in SecondLife: It's so glaringly unignorable, I just want to hack my way inside.

I say: Did the Kiwis always make a large variety of outstanding beers or is this a new thing? Either way, they're obviously at the top of their game as far as beer making goes, I've drank way too many really good New Zealand made beers in the last year or so for it to be a fluke This Hopwired IPA is no exception, while I liked 8 Wired's India Red Ale a little better, this is still very good. It's a cloudy amber with a thin but long lasting, almost white head. There's a hint of pineapple amongst the passionfruit and sweet malt atoma. The passion/pine combo make their way through to the flavour to a certain extent aswell, although they run a distant second to the unignorable big whack of hop bitterness which lasts into a beautiful and sustained after taste.

Day One!

My 23rd birthday, brought to you by Jada the dog wearing my brand new birthday scarf.

I had a great day, nothing too crazy but I had to restrain myself from telling everyone multiple times that it was my BIRTHDAY, guys, it's my BIRTHDAY.

I got a few pieces of nice jewelry, a lotto ticket, and some chocolates from my family.

Ben bought me two nice scarves, as well as making me dinner dinner/taking me out for drinks and dessert. Small, but neither of us have tons of money to throw around and enough thought went into it/Ben was so sweet that I was happy with that :-)
