In the road to Vestrahorn, southeastern Iceland.

That day we had a bit of respite in the rains and even a ray of sunshine that came to magnify the mountains. Just in time en route to Vestrahorn, the mithic mountain of photographers in Iceland.

Ce jour là nous avons eu un peu de repit dans les pluies et même un rayon de soleil qui est venu magnifie les montagnes. Juste à temps en route pour Vestrahorn, la montagne mithique des photographes en Islande.

Come on, fly my butterfly, fly,

To the last drop of your soul,

Take my cry and go,

Don't make this fire any bigger,

Take it and take it far away,

Spotted a few of these in the garden

Great Smoky Mountain National Park

Captured this from our camp site at the Three Cliffs Bay. Didn't expect the colors to turn out this way. Thanks to the strong wind I guess.

Have a great weekend my friends.

Explore Front Page (#26) on 3-Oct. Thx!!

For the Friday Flower Power Group: A cold sunset with my pot of daffodils. They were an unexpected present and have been holding out since the day I last saw these friends in person at the beginning of March. Taken with my phone.

Sometimes the most beautiful thing is precisely the one that comes unexpectedly and unearned, hence something given truly as a present.

A crazy evening a few months ago.

Thanks for having a look! All faves and comments are highly appreciated!

"Faith is believing in things when common sense tells you not to"

After posting this pic of a clematis macro I noticed a visitor hiding. Can you find it?

She glides through her domain, the snow falling softly on her flesh, not melting simply waiting for the soft breeze to caress the snowflakes off her skin. A warm smile is elicited from her lips as a chance encounter brings her before the noble creature of her forest.

" Happiness is strange;

it comes ... when you are not

seeking it.

When you are not making an

effort to be happy, ... then

.... unexpectedly, .... mysteriously,

...... Happiness is there, .....

born of purity, ...of loveliness of being. "

We didn't really remember we had this iris in our garden, but suddenly it was flowering!

It must be an excellent year for irises!

Rialto Bridge, Venice. Thanks to Martin Wessner

I went out to shoot star trails with a clear night and nearly a new moon. My first few test shots I noticed a green cloud to the East and I am thinking that is going to screw up my star trails. Shortly after that the sky was lit up with the Northern Lights and I was shaking with excitement trying to compose myself to get the shots. Needless to say I did not get star trails this night.

Not quite how I had imagined the architecture to be in the Mongolian capital

I'd really got out of the habit of looking out for sunrises lately.

So while making coffee the other morning luckily I did look out of the window because I could see those special textured clouds forming so I had to just go and catch it, obviously keeping it very local.

It made me feel so happy for the rest of the day, proving that photography for me is still very important.

I don't know what the dog walkers made of my rabbit print pjs and dressing gown though!

Came across this yesterday on my way home from the airport in Comox.

Jordan Lake, North Carolina, USA

This is one of my family's seven pet dogs. This good-looking female canine, however, was not what I intended to photograph when I went out with a camera in my hand. Finding not even a single interesting subject to shoot, I then started to walk back toward home. Unexpectedly, this dog, named Kirei, came up to me. And the rest of the story is this head shot of her, which I snapped when she momentarily looked up, directly facing me.

Taken in Subic, Zambales, Philippines.

Yes, today I bought another analog camera, I kinda like them :b

+ I took photos of butterflies

+ I took photos of cameras and butterflies

(Lol, two uploads in two days, oh yees.)

explored! #11

This 10 point white-tail buck was just off a road in the park, could only reach my camera with the small zoom.
