My main purpose of pulling off to the side of the road on October 20th for this handful of 269 pre-opening photos was to get this shot: an uncovered I-269 shield! This is the same one as can be seen in the previous pic, just from a closer point of view. You see, much of the signage for the final leg of 269 was installed months in advance, and MDOT crews simply placed black garbage bags on the signs to keep them hidden in the interim. Unfortunately for them, black garbage bags aren’t the best defense against rain and wind, and over the course of those several months, this particular bag fell victim to the weather, allowing us to see this 269 shield before it became official!
I had toyed with the idea of pulling over to get this shot for the few months that the shield remained uncovered, but never actually went through with it until the 20th, with my rationale being that the fact that it was uncovered was only going to be cool so long as the interstate still was not officially open – and at that point, there was literally only one week left for that to continue to be the case XD
Oh – and yes, as you can tell, I-269 is co-signed with MS 304. 304 used to run along Commerce Street in Hernando, but ever since I-69 opened in the area back in the mid-2000s, it was rerouted to run along its route westward from I-55 to Tunica. I suppose this half that runs concurrently with 269 (east of 55) simply must not have existed in that time – so technically, while the western half is a rerouting of 304, this must be an all-new portion of the road.

"Your very beautiful my lady," Stated Julian using his big man voice as he looked down at the little girl and right off the bat he know she had to be Noble seeing how clean and well kept she was.
"Im... pretty?" asked Lyra feeling shy because only her big brother ever told her she was pretty but he all ways would say it like a daddy would say it.
"But!! I should let you know that there is a girl that has my heart its like Super Sirius kind of," Explained Julian feeling his Checks if he had them turning red.
"What dose Kind of mean? have you... you know... that thing that lovers do? Like Kiss or Hold Hands maybe go dancing under the stars?" asked Lyra feeling the nosy Little girl side of her self coming in to play.
"Well... Not yet but we will just as soon as I tell her I love her... I hope," Tried to Explain Julian but finding it hard to hide his embarrassment.
"Maybe you need to just tell her about your heart, but win you do use your normal voice its prettier," Stated Little Lyra before putting her mask back on and taking off in to the sky this time not falling down.

Robots designed by Brett C. Mich at www.r2decodesign.com/.
Faker is basically a evil clone of He-man. The accepted suggestion is that he is an evil robot built to duplicate He-Man's power and use it to serve the forces of evil. He is used by Skeletor to impersonate He-Man in order to distract King Randor from uncovering the great secret of Keldor. Randor is not fooled by this attempt and Faker suffers a quick defeat, impaled on Randor's spear.
When we first arrived the mountain was shrouded in clouds and we thought we wre going to be shooting waterfalls all day. But as we drove into the park the mountain showed up!
During Lent the altar at Great Malvern Priory, as in many other churches, is covered in a violet frontal. See www.flickr.com/photos/pmforster/40619728932/in/photostream/
This is removed on Maundy Thursday, the day of the Last Supper and the washing of the disciples' feet. In many Christian churches the altar represents Christ and the frontal is removed as Christ's clothes were removed by Roman soldiers before the crucifixion.
The next picture shows the Easter day frontal.

Dark blue is an incredibly difficult to photograph, since that every angle seems to apply a different color balance to the picture. That's why it took me so long to photograph, and that's why I'm still not very happy with the result. But well, If I wanted to to post it this still in 2018 than a choice had to be made.

A regular observer said there were 8 eggs.
Humber Bay Park, Toronto.
Podiceps grisegena
Like other grebes, the Red-necked Grebe ingests large quantities of its own feathers. Feathers remain in the bird's stomach. The function of feathers in the stomach is unknown. One hypothesis suggests that the feathers help protect the lower digestive tract from bones and other hard, indigestible material.

As John mentioned in a previous message there was a summer (2007) when First ran short X80s between Paington and Torquay.
It was normally worked by Atlantean 39902 and Olympian 34750 but cover was required and it was provided by 39913 which in this shot looks splendid as it heads along the cliff face in Torquay.
A shame the driver didn't bother setting the blind for Paington!

Exiting Selby and entering Belgrave, 7A sweeps around Monbulk Creek trestle bridge with the last train of the day.
7A plays an important role in representing the historical era of the railway between 1900 and 1920, as from its build in 1905 until the early 1920s it carried the Canadian red livery. Upon its restoration into service in the 1979, it was painted into the two-tone green livery - which it never wore during its service life - remnants of which will soon disappear beneath primer and a fresh coat of Canadian red.
