They say "two heads are better than one". I say, "THREE'S THE BEST!"
I am a proud "owner" of two amazingly gifted, perfect "little" boys... my dearest brothers, Michael Marco and Marvin Mark. Being their Ate Melina May has been the best job in the whole world! Here are 5 Things I absolutely adore about this dynamic duo:
1) We Butingting Everything!
Mark's the computer genius, Mike can fix and assemble anything and EVERYTHING... from our new blue violet Volks down to my busted cabinet. Combined, they can give Enteng Kabisote a run for his money.
2) Artsy Fartsy
Mike can actually be a fab interior decorator. Mark's more into music and movies. Whenever I do the which-movie-is-this-line-from game, he always ends up giving me the correct answers. He just gave me a CD containing 246 of my favorite tunes. I'm listening to it now.
3) Witty
Their smart-alecky remarks drive me crazy. But it also makes me laugh out loud at the same time. It's as if we are always in a gag show and their adlibs are just inside their pockets. Mama and Papa are their biggest fans, aside from moi.
4) Nike, Just Do It.
"Mike, sunduin mo na ko.... Mike, ikaw na lang ang mag-ingress sa Sta. Lucia... Mike, tignan mo nga to, ayaw gumana".
"Cui (my pet name for Mark, pronounced as KYAWI), samahan mo nga ko sa Wave, MAY chat ako eh... Cui, check mo nga e-mail ko... Cui, bilan mo muna kong Internet Card."
Makes me sound like a demanding big sister (oh, but I am!). But they do it... no questions asked. I'm actually holding back the tears now. They've been extremely dependable, always looking after me.
5) Feeling Kuya
Now that they're 5'10 (Mark) and 5'8 (Mike), they think they have license to bully me around. They seem to have an opinion on almost everything about me... my work, my non-existent love life, my crushes, my clothes, etc... etc... I have two BIG brothers. It's hilarious.
They are what little Bosconians ought to be: loyal, kind, generous and loving. Mama said that when Mike was still in her womb, I would talk to him and call him Michael. I gave him his name. He is that precious to me. Mark's our little, big baby. He would still kiss me even when everybody's watching. He would say goodnight and text me wishing me luck before my major presentations. He's the sweetest bunso anyone could ever ask for.
I look at them and I realize how awfully lucky I am. And I love them more than life itself.

Our Daily Challenge - "Memories From Your Childhood"

I remember being a young boy and wanting (and getting) all kinds of pets. I've had birds, frogs, lizards, fish, cats, and I think all of them helped me develop into a mature, caring, and responsible individual. As a child, we love to participate in miniature versions of adult activities to learn our place in the world, and to develop the skills we'll need to conquer it someday.
Having a pet is a great way to teach a child what it means to be generous, selfless, and caring toward a vulnerable being (perhaps these skills will come in handy when they have their own kids someday). Seeing the receipts from purchases of food, veterinary bills, and toys struck a chord in me as a child -- even for a tiny lizard, caring for stuff is expensive! I couldn't even imagine how much cost to support *me*!
Bigger and more sentient animals such as dogs and cats are also irreplaceable companions for children. Your dog will love you unconditionally -- regardless of what you've done or how you're feeling, it will always be there to play/cuddle when you get home. The simple ability to talk, in complete confidence, with a dog who will sit and listen as long as you could possibly vent, is a wonderful thing for a child to have.
Banjo is allowing me to recall these aspects of pet ownership as a child, and I'm thrilled that my younger brother will now have the chance to experience these same things with his puppy. :)
(I wish there was some secondary stream I could post a bunch of puppy photos to. I'm sure I'll have a *ton* that I'll want to share, but there's no way I'm going to clog up my main stream with all of them.)

Aundra, 56, and Twiggy Billue, 54, have been married for 31 years. A longstanding tradition they share is to enjoy Ethiopian food each year on their anniversary, June 6. Twiggy works as the workforce development coordinator for Jubilee Homes of Syracuse Inc., and Aundra is retired.

Shot in Nepali village of Chaukati, where Brett, I, and the rest of the Dragons stayed with host families for 10 days.
This 25 foot statue stands on the corner of 13 mile and Woodward in Royal Oak Michigan. It represents the famous kiss at the end of WWII in New York’s time square.
On June 20,2016 the statue was erected here in Royal Oak, Michigan after traveling from New Jersey. It will remain on display for 6 months to raise awareness and inspire donations for the WWII Legacy Memorial planned for the RO memorial park. This statue is one of four statues and the only one that moves around the country. The other three statues are permanently displayed, one in Sarasota, one in San Diego and one in Normandy, France.
Here is the statue resting on a flat bed on Woodward Avenue as workers prep the stand it will eventually be standing on.
She told me today that I am the best mommy in the whole world, in all of the countries...better than any other mommy there is. :)
Cicciolina, a special friend. The only genuine affection and unconditional love I received in the past 3 years. She didn't like being separated from me by a closed door, she would knock or scratch it till I answered. Whenever I was upset, she would try to cheer me up, when I'm lonely, she would sleep by my side at night, and when I was ill, she sensed it and would rush to me and lay next to my pillow.
There were so many nights in 2011 and 2012 when it was unbearable to be around my (ex, thank god!) wife when she was having her temper tantrum from a 'bad day'. I isolated myself from her to get relief. And Cicciolina was a constant companion offering me peace of mind.
What an amazing feline. Her smiling appearance will forever be indelible in my memory.
