*Please note that the mosaic isn't in order of my favourite pets, it just came out that way ^__^ all my animals are equally special to me.
I've been tagged by Lauren, I like doing these - so thank you so much! ^__^
1. I know I say this a lot xD But I love animals SO much - and I'm often ashamed to say that I'm human, if that makes any sense. Because animals are so loving, caring, and give unconditional love. While I've read so many stories of murders/cruelty/abuse etc etc of humans. What makes me happy is knowing there are good people in this world like animal lovers on Flickr! ^__^
I don't know what I'd do without an animal in my life, because they are my life (sounding very cheesy ;), but I mean it.
2. I love to read and write, reading is emersing yourself into different stories while writing is creating your own world. Some of my favourite books are The Horse Whisperer, The Mortal Instruments & Harry Potter. I also love drawing, though I can't draw for toffee xD
3. I'm a cat and dog person, I think they both have unique and amazing personalities and they are both always going to love you, like any animal.
4. I love any spooky things, like scary movies or games. It surprises people when I say this because I don't look like the type - but I get so into games like Resident Evil or Silent Hill. I also really love Halloween!
5. But my favourite festive season is Christmas!! :D It brings families together and it's full of happy spirit and laughter - I'm so excited - I can't wait!!! :D
6. I love music, and I prefer Soul/Roots/R&B/Rock/Country/Alternative rather than Pop. I also love the old bands like U2, I find that music in the 60s to 80s is usually better than the music nowadays. But I am generally open to anything ^__^
7. My favourite seasons are Summer & Winter.
8. Though parties are fun, I prefer being inside watching a movie like Up or Toy Story (any pixar xD). Marley & Me is one of my favourite movies of all time, but I generally only watch the beginning to the middle bit, otherwise I get too sad. I'd rather be in a room full of pets or animal lovers then at a party :)
9. When I'm oler, I'd like to be a Vet Surgeon. It's very hard to become one and extremely competitive, and I've been wanting to be one since 4 years old. My other dream careers are a Pet/Wildlife photographer or an Animal Physiotherapist - anything with animals really! ^__^
10. I want to use the last fact to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone on Flickr who has stood by me when I've disappeared for a few weeks, or when I'm behind catching up. I'm so honoured to have such great friends - so thank you all oxoxoxoxoxo

This image will always speak to my mother's heart for so many reasons. A belly for kissing, little dimpled fingers for nibbling and all those nap and bedtimes I laid my head on your chest to be sure you were still breathing. The beginning of unconditional love, and unconditional worry.

This sculpture also known as "The Kiss" depicts an iconic moment and recreates the photo taken in Times Square in 1945 at the end of WWII. The sculpture is huge, (at least 10 times larger than life,) as can be seen by the size of the man walking his dog nearby and the corner of the aircraft carrier in the background.

The relation between mother and her child is truly unconditional. The purest form of love one can ever see.
Taken last year at Bogra Railway Station
This man was hugging his dog for all it's worth on a bench in St. James Park. I took about a million photos of them, without asking for permission or making eye contact. Others were taking photos, too, because: cute!
Examining some of my photos, I have decided the man was possibly homeless or at the very least possessing of few things in life. Something about him and the way he was holding on to the lab suggested a recent loss. I don't think he was putting on a show and can't be sure whether he was aware of his surroundings.
This, to me, is the most impactful of the photos I took. The conversion to B&W was an instinctive move. I would like to publish other photos, taken from other angles, but I often grumble, when I see a series of similar shots, that a person can't make up his or her mind and so puts it on us, viewers, to decide which photo works best. I certainly can never pick the best photo from my own series, though strangely I have no trouble picking for others. If this is not as powerful a photo as I imagine, I will be happy to publish another.

Also, per suggestions I did do some Nnenn-style modding, with tape on the windshield/hinge bricks and a cut/sanded 1x1 brick on the end of the gun to mirror the angle of the gun.
Named after General Grant's nickname the Unconditional Surrender was the Union's response to the Confederacy's "Grey Ghost." Like the Ghost, the U.S. was armed with a weapon designed to pierce the armor on capitol ships.
Fun Fact: I grew up in Grant County, Oregon, named after the Civil War General. It seemed the logical counterpart to John "Grey Ghost" Mosby.
Risveglio, conforto e pace.
The End.

Even if the amazing, intricate iron fence is not flush with front door of the building and the shutters are crooked, I seriously love this grand old beauty - Ashton Villa in Galveston. Though it isn't the biggest, the most ornate of the "palaces" on Broadway Street in Galveston, it is my favorite. She is elegant and not ostentatious. Having survived the United States deadliest natural disaster and another monster hurricane which destroyed Galveston, this grand lady is one tough cookie.
Here is a blurb about Ashton Villa:
On January 7, 1859, Colonel James Moreau Brown, a prominent hardware merchant and banker, purchased four lots at the corner of 24th and Broadway in Galveston, on which to build a home. Referencing architectural pattern books current at the time, he modified several plans to design his future home. Ashton Villas is the first of Galveston's Broadway "palaces," as well as the first brick house to be built in Texas. The artistic and eccentric Miss Bettie Brown was mistress of the manor, and her life-size paintings still adorn the showy Gold Room. When the villa was almost razed in 1970, Galveston Historical Foundation led a campaign to save it, and now manages it for special event and private function rentals.

It is the receivement, the welcome, the acceptance, the unquestioned and unconditional will to help, and to be with guests. It is an impressive and unforgettable hospitality, what I received a time ago from a woman this country, Russia.
I cannot but wish that anyone who enters a Russian home, ... receives such hospitality. It will remain in memory.
I dedicate this photograph and words to this old woman, who is right now in hospital.
One way to practice generosity is to give energy where it is needed whether that is in the form of time, money or love.
The most difficult time to be generous is when we ourselves are feeling poor. While some of us have experienced actually being in the red financially, there are those of us who would feel broke even if we had a million dollars in the bank. Either way, as the old adage goes, it’s always in giving that we receive. Meaning, when we’re living in a state of lack, the very gesture we may least want to give is the very act that could help us create the abundance we seek. One way to practice generosity is to give energy where it’s needed. Giving money to a cause or person in need is one way to give energy. Giving attention, love, or a smile to another person are other acts of giving we can offer. After all, there are people all over the world that are hungry for love.
Sometimes, when we practice generosity, we practice it conditionally. We might be expecting to “receive back” from the person to whom we gave. We might even become angry or resentful if that person doesn’t reciprocate. However, trust in the natural flow of energy & you’ll find yourself practicing generosity with no strings attached. This is the purest form of giving. Remember what you send out will always come back you. Selflessly helping a friend in need without expecting them to return the same favor in the same way & know that you, too, will receive that support from the universe when you need it.
Besides, while giving conditionally creates stress (because we are waiting with an invisible balance sheet to receive our due), giving unconditionally creates & generates abundance. We give freely, because we trust there’s always an unlimited supply.
Being aware of how much we’re always supported by the universe is one of the keys to abundance & generosity. Consciously remember the times you’ve received support from expected & unexpected sources. Remember anyone who has helped you when you’ve needed it most & bless all situations that come into your life for the lessons & gifts they bring you. Remember, all things given and received emanate from generosity. Giving is an act of gratitude. Plant the seeds of generosity through your acts of giving & you’ll grow the fruits of abundance for yourself & those around you.

Love it or hate it, the “Kissing Statue” is back at the Port of San Diego. The 25-foot installation — officially known as “Unconditional Surrender” — recreates the famous embrace between a sailor and a nurse celebrating the end of World War II in New York's Times Square in 1945.
The “kissing sailor” statue is 25 feet tall and weighs 6,000 pounds.
Who fed me from her gentle breast
And hushed me in her arms to rest,
And on my cheek sweet kisses prest?
My mother.
When sleep forsook my open eye,
Who was it sung sweet lullaby
And rocked me that I should not cry?
My mother.
When pain and sickness made me cry,
Who gazed upon my heavy eye
And wept, for fear that I should die?
My mother.
Who ran to help me when I fell
And would some pretty story tell,
Or kiss the part to make it well?
My mother.
When thou art feeble, old and gray,
My healthy arm shall be thy stay,
And I will soothe thy pains away,
My mother
And when I see thee hang thy head,
'Twill be my turn to watch thy bed,
And tears of sweet affection shed,-
My mother.

Lately, it feels like the only place any kind of unconditional love comes from is my cat. I'm sitting around waiting for something to change... and at this point, nothing has. I don't understand anymore. I just want to wake up from this.
On a brighter note.... my birthday week is my last week of my 52 weeks project - which is next week! I'll be 18 :D
I need some ideas for something really awesome for my last week... got anything? 'Cause I don't! I've been so uncreative lately :[
Love for all of you!
And don't worry, I'm not gonna disappear after next week... promise :]

Our final image for our university set construction project our year was split into 4 groups and each given a studio where we had to create a 'room with a view' we had to create the set from scratch and go and try and find objects to make the room feel realistic. My group went with the theme of unconditional love. This is our final outcome, i'm pleased with the result

It's about money — about our feelings about money; about releasing money; about celebrating money — which is of course all about way deeper stuff: spirituality, our feelings about God and being human and the world. Let's see if there are some things that Jesus has to say (which, of course, there are) about living meaningfully and intentionally regarding what is, arguably, the thing that determines everything's value — or seems to…

Help us Your ways, to understand
Over and over the same petition
Yet. we never change our position
We want a magic wand to be waved
So our roads will be smoothly paved
We don't want to do the work it needs
To change our ways into good deeds
So we pray by rote the same each day
Leaving the rest to come what may
When nothing changes we rant and moan
neglecting to admit the fault is our own
It seems we want you as a problem solver
For assets, no need for you to resolve them
A real shame we want a God to
share only our sad never our glad
~ E T Waldron
But really we all could use some good roads in State of Karnataka for paying the highest amount of tax anywhere in India . The roads are just pathetic in Bangalore sad but true
