The oculatum variety of Heliotropium curassavicum is much larger with thick fleshy leaves and stems more of a gray green color. The flowers are also much larger but have the same colors and uncoiling spike, a flower-studded fiddleneck. It becomes a somewhat erect shrub 2 feet (0.6 m) in height and can spread several feet along the ground. The plants are hairless, but lightly dusted with a white powder that easily rubs off. The plants colonize exposed alkaline or saline soils and the banks of streams and washes in arid western U. S. and Baja California. The name Quail’s Delight has also been used with this variety. The two versions of this plant are often confused because the observer has not seen both types.

Kundalini yoga is a physical and meditative discipline, comprising a set of simple techniques that uses the mind, senses and body to create a communication between "mind" and "body". Kundalini yoga focuses on psycho-spiritual growth and the body's potential for maturation, giving special consideration to the role of the spine and the endocrine system in the understanding of yogic awakening (Sovatsky, 1998).

Kundalini Yoga concentrates on psychic centers or chakras in the body in order to generate a spiritual power, which is known as kundalini energy.

Kundalini is the potential form of prana or life force, lying dormant in our bodies. It is conceptualized as a coiled up serpent (literally, 'kundalini' in Sanskrit is 'That which is coiled.' (Sanskrit kund, "to burn"; kunda, "to coil or to spiral") but some claim that it should be translated 'lock of hair of the Beloved') lying at the base of our spine, which can spring awake when activated by spiritual disciplines.

Chakra (pronunciation (help·info)) is a Sanskrit term (refer etymology section) meaning wheel. There is a vast literature on chakra models, philosophy and lore that underpin many philosophical systems and spiritual energetic practices, religious observance and personal discipline. Chakras function and relate within the systemic suite of the human bodymind. The philosophical theories and models of chakras as systemic vortices of energy were identified through the existential [1] mystical practice of yoga in Ancient India where they were first codified.

1. Application field of cold roll forming machine

The continuous cold-formed steel forming unit mainly includes uncoiling, straightening, shearing and butt welding, material storage, forming (welding, shaping), cutting to length, inspection and collection and some special processes. Its equipment is basically similar to the high-frequency welded pipe unit, but the cold roll forming machine has various forms. According to the product specifications, it can be divided into three major types as general cold-formed steel forming unit, open cold-formed steel forming unit and wide wave steel panel forming unit. These three types have different structure and product focus.

The general cold-formed steel forming unit can produce not only non-welded cold-formed copper products with simple cross-section, but also welded closed profiles, such as round tubes, square rectangular tubes and other special-shaped tubes.

The product is widely used in light steel structure, automobile manufacturing, highway transportation, logistics equipment, electrical cabinet, etc. Typical products are: "C", "Z" sandalwood strips; Z-shaped steel with bevel edge curling; Z-shaped steel with unequal edge curling; Z-shaped steel with unequal edge curling; color steel profiled plate; U-shaped channel steel for automobile girder; upper and lower edge steel; marine fender, small warehouse board; Japanese and European highway guardrail; guide rail for suspension conveyor, etc.

2. Market prospect of cold roll forming machine

The production of cold-formed section steel in China started in the 1950s and 1960s, mainly serving the agricultural machinery industry. By the 1980s, it was the first big development climax. It began to serve in the automobile, bus, building doors and windows, transportation, shelves, electrical appliances and other industries. So far, more than 1000 sets of units have been produced, and 42 sets of larger units with diameter of more than 200 mm are under construction. The maximum pipe diameter is 660mm.

The production capacity of cold-formed steel in China has reached 15 million tons/year, basically meeting the market demand of 4.38 million tons/year. The export volume is very small, only a few thousand tons, and the cold bending output accounts for 2.4% of the steel output. There are more than 2000 kinds of products. The steel grades have developed from single plain carbon steel to high strength, weather resistance, fire resistance and other steel grades. Cold formed steel has become an indispensable rising star in steel products, and is favored by the majority of users.

Nearly a quarter of a mile long, Serpent Mound apparently represents an uncoiling serpent. The head of the serpent is aligned to the summer solstice sunset and the coils also may point to the winter solstice sunrise and the equinox sunrise.

We set out at 5am, an ungodly hour for most people, but prime time for a morning person like myself. There are very few cars on the road at that time of the morning, and we made pretty quick work of the trip to Roscoe.

The farther we got from home, the more I realized how conflicted I am about the need for routine and familiarity and the feeling of having a cocoon of safety and comfort built around you.

I wanted to detach, to separate myself from civilization, technology, traffic, ringing phones and copy machines and computer screens and screaming neighbors and blaring horns. Yet as the signs of departure from home loomed - the crossing of the bridges, the narrowing of roads, the mountains rising up from the ground - I became nervous about the detachment. It's not that I would miss the internet or cell phone service or air conditioning; it's more like I would miss what those things represent: the confines of home. How strange to want to slip out of confinement, to be afraid of confinement, even emotional or mental confinement to the point of a mental sort of claustrophobia, and then to feel afraid because you are not confined.

Once we turned off Route 17 and into the town of Roscoe, I felt better. Roscoe is back-of-the-hand familiar. You turn into town, which consists of a small group of stores, some of which have been standing since I was a small child. Raimondo's restuarant, the grocery store, the fish supply store and, of course, the Roscoe train and museum.

From there it's a ten minute ride to the house in the woods. There's something about the ride from here to there that is almost magical in its ability to wipe out everything you left behind. It's like coming into a clearing and seeing only what's in front of you - sky, trees, grass - and hearing only what's around you - insects, wind, moving water - and knowing nothing else but the pure beauty of nature. Every stress, every worry, every minute detail of life is swept away and that feeling that we all get too often, that life is just whooshing by us at 100mph, it's all gone. You're at a standstill, a weird place where time and calendars and dollars, for a few moments anyhow, mean nothing.

You're driving on smooth curves cut into mountains, Johnny Cash on the stereo, the double yellow line uncoiling before you in a slithering series of ups and downs that make your stomach jump. On your left is the glassy surface of an enormous lake , the sky a deep shade of blue that you thought existed only in crayon boxes. On your right, a crop of wildflowers emerge in a blurred splash of blue and yellow and orange and behind the flowers the land rises up and centuries old trees tower above, the sun glittering through leaves and branches that have existed through hundreds of years of storms and changing landscape.

The Kayan are a sub-group of Red Karen (Karenni people), Tibeto-Burman ethnic minority of Burma (Myanmar). The Kayan consists of the following groups: Kayan Lahwi (also called Padaung, ပေဒါင္ [bədàʊɴ]), Kayan Ka Khaung (Gekho), Kayan Lahta, Kayan Ka Ngan. Kayan Gebar, Kayan Kakhi and, sometimes, Bwe people (Kayaw).

Padaung (Yan Pa Doung) is a Shan term for the Kayan Lahwi (the group whose women wear the brass neck coils). The Kayan residents in Mae Hong Son Province in Northern Thailand refer to themselves as Kayan and object to being called Padaung. In The Hardy Padaungs (1967) Khin Maung Nyunt, one of the first authors to use the term "Kayan", says that the Padaung prefer to be called Kayan. On the other hand, Pascal Khoo Thwe calls his people Padaung in his 2002 memoir, From the Land of Green Ghosts: A Burmese Odyssey.

In the late 1980s and early 1990s due to conflict with the military regime in Burma, many Kayan tribes fled to the Thai border area. Among the refugee camps set up there was a Long Neck section, which became a tourist site, self-sufficient on tourist revenue and not needing financial assistance.

According to U Aung Roe (1993:21ss) Kayan number about 40,000 in Shan State (around the Pekon Township area) and 20,000 in Kayah State (around Demawso and Loikaw). A 2004 estimate puts the population at approximately 130,000. About 600 Kayan reside in the three villages open to tourists in Mae Hong Son, or in the Ban Mai Nai Soi refugee camp.

GEOGRAPHY

PRESENT SETTLEMENT OF THE KAYANS

According to Kayan tradition the Kayan settled in the Demawso area of Karenni State (Kayah State) in 739 AD. Today they are to be found in Karenni (Kayah) State around Demawso and Loikow, in the southern region of Shan State and in Mandalay’s Pyinmana and Karen’s Than Daung township.

There are three Kayan villages in Mae Hong Son province in Thailand. The largest is Huay Pu Keng, on the Pai river, close to the Thai Burma border. Huai Seau Tao is a commercial village opened in 1995. Many of the residents of Nai Soi Kayan Tayar moved into the Karenni refugee camp in September 2008, but a few families remain there.

Most of the Kayan people in Mae Hong Son are formerly from nine villages in Karenni State. The majority are from Rwan Khu and Daw Kee village. The people of Huay Pu Keng are mainly from Lay Mile village.

CULTURE

BRASS COILS

Women of the Kayan tribes identify themselves by their forms of dress. Women of the Kayan Lahwi tribe are well known for wearing neck rings, brass coils that are placed around the neck, appearing to lengthen it. The women wearing these coils are known as "giraffe women" to tourists.

Girls first start to wear rings when they are around five years old. Over the years the coil is replaced by a longer one and more turns are added. The weight of the brass pushes the collar bone down and compresses the rib cage. The neck itself is not lengthened; the appearance of a stretched neck is created by the deformation of the clavicle. Many ideas regarding why the coils are worn have been suggested, often formed by visiting anthropologists, who have hypothesized that the rings protected women from becoming slaves by making them less attractive to other tribes. It has also been theorised that the coils originate from the desire to look more attractive by exaggerating sexual dimorphism, as women have more slender necks than men. It has also been suggested that the coils give the women resemblance to a dragon, an important figure in Kayan folklore. The coils might be meant to protect from tiger bites, perhaps literally, but probably symbolically.

Kayan women, when asked, acknowledge these ideas, and often say that their purpose for wearing the rings is cultural identity (one associated with beauty).

The coil, once on, is seldom removed, as the coiling and uncoiling is a lengthy procedure. It is usually only removed to be replaced by a new or longer coil. The muscles covered by the coil become weakened. Many women have removed the rings for medical examinations. Most women prefer to wear the rings once their clavicle has been lowered, as the area of the neck and collarbone often becomes bruised and discolored. Additionally, the collar feels like an integral part of the body after ten or more years of continuous wear.

In 2006 some of the younger women in Mae Hong Son started to remove their rings, either to give them the opportunity to continue their education or in protest against the exploitation of their culture and the restrictions that came with it. In late-2008 most of the young women who entered the refugee camp removed their rings. One woman who had worn the rings for over 40 years removed them. After removing the rings, women report discomfort which fades after about three days. The discoloration is more persistent.

The government of Burma began discouraging neck rings as it struggled to appear more modern to the developed world. Consequently, many women in Burma began breaking the tradition, though a few older women and some of the younger girls in remote villages continued to wear rings. In Thailand the practice has gained popularity in recent years because it draws tourists who bring revenue to the tribe and to the local businessmen who run the villages and collect an entry fee of 250 baht per person. The Karenni National People's Liberation Front (KNPLF), an armed cease-fire group, have made attempts to invite the Kayan to return to Kayah State to set up their own tourist villages.

In January 2008 the UNHCR expressed reservations about tourists visiting the Kayan villages in Northern Thailand due to the provincial government’s refusal to allow registered Kayan refugees to take up offers of resettlement in developing countries. It is believed this policy was linked to their economic importance to the area. This policy was relaxed in late 2008 and a small group of Kayan have left for New Zealand in August 2008. Others entered the main Karenni refugee camp (which is not open to tourists) in September 2008 and they are now eligible for resettlement.

TRADITIONAL RELIGION

The Kayans’ traditional religion is called Kan Khwan, and has been practiced since the people migrated from Mongolia during the Bronze Age. It includes the belief that the Kayan people are the result of a union between a female dragon and a male human/angel hybrid.

The major religious festival is the 3-day Kay Htein Bo festival, which commemorates the belief that the creator god gave form to the world by planting a small post in the ground. During this festival, held in late March or early April, a Kay Htoe Boe pole is erected and participants dance around the pole. This festival is held to venerate the eternal god and creator messengers, to give thanks for blessings during the year, to appeal for forgiveness, and pray for rain. It is also an opportunity for Kayan from different villages to come together to maintain the solidarity of the tribe.

The Kayan have a strong belief in augury and nothing is done without reference to some form of divination, including breaking thatch grass, but most importantly consulting the chicken bones.

In present times the annual Kay Htein Bo festival is always accompanied by a reading of the chicken bones to predict the year ahead. Fowl bone prognostication can be witnessed in the Kayan villages in Thailand’s Mae Hong Son province during the annual festival and during “Cleansing Ceremonies” which are held when a family has encountered ill fortune. Dreams are also used to make predictions.

CURRENT RELIGIOUS PRACTICES

Although many of the Kayan still participate in these traditional festivals, in the 19th Century Italian missionaries worked amongst them for many years and today the majority of Kayan and Kayaw people are Roman Catholics. Statistics published in 2004 lists 306 Kayan villages, out of which 209 are Roman Catholic, 19 Kan Khwan, 32 Baptist and 44 Buddhist, of which 2 belong to the Byamaso civil society organization.

Guin stops in front of the fireplace, arms crossed and eyes unfocused as she stares into the flames. Pacing was doing nothing more than wearing the stones. Her mind is both blank and spinning, all at once, thoughts tumbling one over the other, turning in on themselves, uncoiling into nothing…

She sinks to her knees, willing the heat into her bones and blood, where she needed it. She knows she should pray. The words are etched into her mind, through years of repetition and belief and comfort. She couldn't forget them if she tried. And she'd been taught--she knew--that when all else failed, when her heart ached and life was in turmoil, there was always one place she could turn. All her life, every crisis… She had never wavered.

But now, with the oppressive silence draping her shoulders, she doesn't even know where to start.

"Lord, look upon me with eyes of mercy." Her whisper freezes in the air, and her hand curls in her lap. It's empty, and she desperately wants to hold onto something. "May your lifegiving powers flow into the depths of my soul, cleansing, purifying, restoring me to wholeness… " She shakes her head; a sharp, frustrated thing. It wasn't working. Just words, her own hollow, powerless voice.

"By reason of the weakness of our nature, we cannot stand upright… " Voice shaking, she presses her free hand against her chest. Her heart is pounding, the blood rushing in her ears drowning out all else. "That--that those evils which we suffer for our sins we may overcome… "

Somewhere, beyond the stillness, there was violence. Anger and darkness and fear. It came into their home, crept into their souls. The city was bathed in it, fed off of it… fed it, in return. She'd felt its teeth sink into her flesh, and couldn't shake it free. It haunted the place she loved, the people; they were, every one of them, caught in its snare.

"I need courage to fight." She clasps her hands together, with a calm edged in desperation. "I need Your help."

www.hhuitech.com/products/metal-stamping-parts/

Most of the world's steel is made into finished products by stamping. The body, chassis, fuel tank and radiator sheet of automobiles, steam ladle of boilers, the shell of containers, and silicon steel sheet of the iron core of motors and electric appliances are all stamping processes. There are also a large number of stamping parts in products such as instruments, household appliances, bicycles, office machinery and living utensils.

Compared with castings and forgings, stamping parts are thin, uniform, light and strong. Stamping can make workpieces with reinforcement, ribs, undulations, or flanges that are difficult to manufacture by other methods to improve their rigidity. Due to the use of precision dies, the accuracy of workpieces can reach a micron level, and with high repetition accuracy and consistent specifications, holes nests and tabs can be stamped out.

Metal Stamping Parts Common Problems Treatment

1. Bonding, scratch: due to material and convex die or concave die friction and in the surface of the parts or mold appear bad;

2. Burr: mainly occurs in the shear die and drop die, the gap between the edges is large or small will produce a burr;

3. Line offset: when the part is formed, the first part in contact with the mold is squeezed and formed a line;

4. Convex and concave: uncoiling line with foreign objects (iron chips, rubber, dust) mixed in to cause convex and concave;

5. Zigzag: due to uneven stress, poor matching of the stretching bar or poor control of the press slider, etc., causing zigzag and strain on the r-angle part of the part or the embossed part;

6. Wrinkles: due to poor adjustment of the press slider, low precision of the press, improper adjustment of the air cushion pressure, large punch or r parts caused by the edge or r parts wrinkles.

7. Other specific problems: In daily production, we may encounter situations where the punch size is large or small (possibly exceeding the specification) and the size of the die differs greatly from that of the convex die, taking into account the design size of the forming convex and concave dies, processing accuracy and punching clearance, etc.

Metal Stamping Parts Application
