Happy mid-Winter Solstice to all!!!!

The unchanging exterior of Woodchester Mansion (nr. Stroud), a 19th Century Victorian Gothic Masterpiece mysteriously abandoned mid-construction in 1873. Hidden in a secluded Cotswold valley, it is untouched by time and the modern world. This Grade 1 Listed Building has been saved from dereliction, but will never be completed. The carvings in Woodchester Mansion are among the finest of their kind in the World.

A wonderful place to visit as you can see quite clearly in places how it was built.....a stunning and unusual building indeed!!

There are also many ghostly stories as you would expect from a building as unusual as this......some can be read below in the first link.

And if you fancy a ghost hunt then the second link will take you to the other side!!!

Great to know, that in this present time of upheaval and distortion, one Word remains constant and unchanging.

A time when evil is called good, and good evil

A time to meditate on ''I am with you''

A secret place for those who trust, just what we need, that perfect love that drives out fear

Tınaztepe Cave, one of the longest caves in the world

Tınaztepe caves are located in Seydişehir, Konya. The world's third, is Turkey's largest caves. Its total length is 22 km, and its navigable part is 1580 meters. It is a completely horizontal cave except the 64-meter descent at the end. It was opened in 2004 as Cave Recreation Facilities.

Located at the crossing of the Konya-Antalya Highway on the Taurus Mountains and discovered by the French scientist Michel Bakalowichz in 1968, the cave is an important natural wonder.

In addition to stalactites and stalagmites, Tınaztepe Cave offers a different environment to its guests with its unchanging heat in summer and winter in its open section.

Stalactites and stalagmites, a cave with a lake inside. The cave, where daily tours are organized due to the ease of transportation, fascinates those who see it. Tinaztepe actual length of 22 kilometers, one of Turkey's longest cave. One of the three few caves in the world

Founded in 1115, it remains from this period the abbey church and the Romanesque base of the conventual buildings.

In 1119, the young abbey of CADOUIN became Cistercian in the filiation of the abbey of Pontigny, which is itself one of the four daughters of Citeaux.

Eleventh abbey attached to the order, it will henceforth follow its rule. The flamboyant Gothic Cloister dates from the end of the 15th century.

The monastic activity of Cadouin ended in 1790 during the Revolution.

Whoever stops at Cadouin will take all his time to see, in the cloister, the sun stencilling arabesques of light on the floor of the galleries.

Nearly ten centuries of history float here and make the Cloister of Cadouin a universal, unchanging and serene place.

The site is notably known for being a location for many films and TV movies.

Packed in my mind lie all the clothes

Which outward nature wears,

And in its fashion's hourly change

It all things else repairs.

In vain I look for change abroad,

And can no difference find,

Till some new ray of peace uncalled

Illumes my inmost mind.

What is it gilds the trees and clouds,

And paints the heavens so gay,

But yonder fast-abiding light

With its unchanging ray?

Lo, when the sun streams through the wood,

Upon a winter's morn,

Where'er his silent beams intrude

The murky night is gone.

How could the patient pine have known

The morning breeze would come,

Or humble flowers anticipate

The insect's noonday hum,—

Till the new light with morning cheer

From far streamed through the aisles,

And nimbly told the forest trees

For many stretching miles?

I've heard within my inmost soul

Such cheerful morning news,

In the horizon of my mind

Have seen such orient hues,

As in the twilight of the dawn,

When the first birds awake,

Are heard within some silent wood,

Where they the small twigs break,

Or in the eastern skies are seen,

Before the sun appears,

The harbingers of summer heats

Which from afar he bears.

Henry David Thoreau

My hope is built on nothing less

Than Jesus Christ, my righteousness;

I dare not trust the sweetest frame,

But wholly lean on Jesus’ name.

On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand;

All other ground is sinking sand,

All other ground is sinking sand.

When darkness veils His lovely face,

I rest on His unchanging grace;

In every high and stormy gale,

My anchor holds within the veil.

His oath, His covenant, His blood,

Support me in the whelming flood;

When all around my soul gives way,

He then is all my hope and stay.

When He shall come with trumpet sound,

Oh, I in Him will then be found;

In Him, my righteousness, alone,

Faultless to stand before the throne.

(Edward Mote, 1797-1874)

The Appalachian mountains never truly rest. Old, slow, but always active. It’s easy to miss the sheer amount of activity going on up in those wooded ridges, but if you take the time to look, well you might yet be surprised. Colors dancing, winds whispering, sometimes even howling, trees swaying, birds playing. All around you, all the time, you just have to take a moment and look around. When you’re standing on a ridge line looking at a seemingly unchanging vista like this, it’s easy to think time has stood still just for you. wait a while, look around and realize you’re the one standing still.

Miners used hydraulic sluicing to move whole mountainsides in their search for gold for about 10 years from the 1860s. Our province produced a lot of gold and helped build our city including the first university in NZ. When the gold dried up people moved on and or city was left with many Victorian buildings in stone. There are similar areas in Asturias, Spain where Romans dug for gold 2000 years ago so I don't expect this areas to change any time soon. Seen on a dawn walk. Have a good weekend.

Do you not yet comprehend the wicked secret of the immortal? All age and die, save you. All rot and fall to dust, save you. Any child you bear becomes a crone and perishes before your eyes. Any lover withers and shrinks into incontinence and bent, toothless senility. While you, only you, never age. Never tire. Never fade. Alone. But after a time, you'll lose the desire for passion entirely, for connection with anyone. Like a muscle that atrophies from lack of use. And one day you'll realize you've become like them. Beautiful and dead. You have become a perfect, unchanging portrait of yourself.

Made me render this little scene with Godrevy Lighthouse in the background as if taken maybe a hundred years ago. Can't do much about the cars (well actually I could but I didn't ) It made me think how many people had walked those paths in years gone by and all enjoying that wonderful unchanging view...

Like a beautiful piece of calligraphy that balances its thick and thin strokes,

the tides swell and recede in their unchanging movement.

They rise to fill our emptiness, then fall to reveal it.

Gently or violently, according to the whims of the weather.

And yet, their steady migration sustains within us that wondrous habit of hoping.

A world without frontiers

From my window on this parcel of universe

I discovered a land without frontiers

Where all kind of life come and go,

In the same interdependence.

In these immense salt marches and beyond, everything is shared

The sea and the land rub shoulders as old friends

Wild herbs filter vital water and hide life for better reproduction;

The patient silences of the marsh rhythm, the cries of the migratory birds

As in an unchanging symphony.

Look: there's a painter out there.

He is one with his island of which he likes to paint the wild geese of passage;

On its canvas, the rain and the sun melt in a golden cloud

The sky, the sea, and the earth combine in the same vital energy.

This painter never succeeded in painting a border

He considers that a frontier is a typically human limit that art cannot reproduce.

From my window on this parcel of universe

I discovered a land without frontiers.

Hebrews 6:17-18 New International Version (NIV)

17 Because God wanted to make the unchanging nature of his purpose very clear to the heirs of what was promised, he confirmed it with an oath. 18 God did this so that, by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled to take hold of the hope set before us may be greatly encouraged.

In a flat and unchanging landscape and a boring blue sky you may think there is not an image to be had but if you look hard enough and use your imagination you will find a composition.

I spotted the small yellow flowers and by getting in close I was able to focus on them and blur out the surrounding area , though not too much so as to keep some definition in the Lavender I was then able to focus attention on the yellow flowers.

Bien que les années passent, le samedi matin jour du marché, la scène ne change pas.

The majestic Jami Masjid mosque, with its towering red facade, stands at the heart of Old Delhi. This age-old landmark is located in a part of the city that is predominantly inhabited by Muslims. While New Delhi hurtles towards a complex future, Old Delhi exudes a timeless and unchanging air of history. The Friday prayers fill the air with devotion as birds alter their flight paths, and the nearby markets brim with vibrant colors and bustling energy.

The rounded rock in the foreground of this shot caught my eye. It appears to be sinking into the wet sand as the tide gently comes in around it. That, in turn, made me think of the well known hymn by Edward Mote, written around 1834.

My hope is built on nothing less

Than Jesus Christ, my righteousness;

I dare not trust the sweetest frame,

But wholly lean on Jesus’ name.

On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand;

Christian Song "God's Will for Mankind Will Never Change" | The Love of God Is Unchanging

I

God's been in this world for many years, but who knows Him? No wonder God chastises people. Seems God uses them as objects of His authority. Seems they're bullets in His gun, and once He's fired it, they'll all escape one by one. But this is not what is real, it's their imagination. God loves people like His treasure, since they're the "capital" of His management. He will not eliminate them. He won't change His will towards them. He won't change His will towards them.

II

God has always respected humans. He hasn't once exploited or traded them like slaves. For He and man can't part. Thus a life and death bond is formed. Between man and God, God loves, cherishes humans. Though this isn't mutual, God still spends efforts on them, as to God they still look up. God loves people like His treasure, since they're the "capital" of His management. He will not eliminate them. He won't change His will towards them. He won't change His will towards them. He won't change His will towards them. He won't change His will towards them.

III

Can they truly trust God's oath? How can they satisfy God? This is the task for all man, the "homework" God left for all. It is God's hope that they will all work hard to complete it.

Eastern Lightning, The Church of Almighty God of Almighty God was created because of the appearance and work of Almighty God , the second coming of the Lord Jesus , Christ of the last days. It is made up of all those who accept Almighty God's work in the last days and are conquered and saved by His words. It was entirely founded by Almighty God personally and is led by Him as the Shepherd. It was definitely not created by a person. Christ is the truth, the way, and the life. God's sheep hear God's voice. As long as you read the words of Almighty God, you will see God has appeared.

In the heart of a vast, azure ocean, where sunlight dappled through the cerulean waters, lived a mermaid of unparalleled beauty. Her skin was as translucent as the finest pearl, her hair, a cascade of shimmering white, trailed behind her like a wake of moonlight. But despite her ethereal grace, she was alone.

Her home was a world of pure white coral, a stark contrast to the vibrant hues of the ocean. The soft, white sand beneath her feet was as smooth as silk, and the gentle currents carried the sweet scent of sea lilies. But the tranquility of her surroundings was a stark reminder of her solitude.

Every day, she would swim to the edge of her coral reef, her heart filled with longing. She would gaze out at the endless expanse of the ocean, her eyes searching for a sign of life, a glimpse of another creature. But all she found was the same, unchanging blue.

Year after year, she continued her solitary existence. She would sing mournful songs, her voice echoing through the depths of the sea. She would dance with the currents, her movements graceful and fluid. But no matter what she did, she could not shake the feeling of emptiness that gnawed at her soul.

One day, as she was swimming near the edge of her reef, she felt a tug on her tail. Startled, she turned to see a magnificent merman approaching. His skin was the color of the deepest sapphire, and his hair, a rich, emerald green, flowed freely in the current. His eyes, filled with warmth and kindness, held a promise of companionship.

As they swam together, the mermaid felt a sense of peace she had never known before. The merman told her stories of distant lands, of vibrant coral reefs and shimmering lagoons. He spoke of mermaids with hair as red as fire and tails as green as seaweed. And as he spoke, the mermaid's heart filled with hope.

For the first time in her life, she felt truly alive. She had found someone who loved her for who she was, someone who would swim with her to the ends of the earth. And as they swam off into the sunset, the mermaid knew that her days of solitude were finally over.

Another in a string of un-manipulated, "straight" Pano-Sabotage photographs. The standard adjustments of brightness, contrast, colour saturation etc were the only post capture techniques used.

Pano-Sabotage imagery calls into question the absolutes of the past 400 years. Fixed and unchanging views of the universe as a static, purposeless and unvaryingly efficient machine are no longer tenable as the sciences of Quantum phsyics and the newer disciplines of Chaos and Complexity theories have shown.

Leonard Shlain in his groundbreaking book, "Art & Physics" posits that changes or new developments in Art movements are the FIRST signals coming down the pike that something revolutionary is just ahead of us. He offers that Science very shortly after has huge breakthroughs and he demonstrates his theory magnificently in his book. Pano-Sabotage seems to be a good contender for the signalling of a revolutionary leap in science, according to Shlain's theory, which then leads, of necessity, to great changes in cultures and their thinking. Our times seem pretty much on target.

The unusual lighting of the building on the right is strictly photographic. There's a large glass box tower across the street that was reflecting the late afternoon / early evening sun, bouncing off it's windows all over the subject. It was the main reason I stopped and took the shot.

I owe a huge debt of gratitude to Paul Ewing for gifting me with Shlain's incredible book. It's a life changer.

No power can change this.

The Wind of the Past is Blowing️ The City's Quiet Breath: 🌆🌇

Where did the impulse come from? Who knows?

Sometimes, one is drawn to the streets by a causeless urge. This was one of those nights. I wandered the city for a little while tonight. I had no destination, no place I needed to be. I simply wanted to walk and feel the nighttime presence of this vast, crowded geography.

These moments, in fact, offer the purest, most unchanging scenes of daily life. The familiar sight I encountered right around the corner: A garbage truck with children running behind it. That rush, that childlike curiosity... It reminds you that life continues to flow at its own rhythm, outside of the major dramas.

As I walked, the old streets I knew were standing exactly in their place. Time had passed, lives had changed, but the stones, the pavements, the posture of the buildings remained the same. It was as if those old, innocent days were still hidden within the walls.

When the lights of the houses began to turn on, one by one, that feeling arrived: A mix of peace and gentle melancholy. Every single light that flickered on was a sign that a completely different story was beginning inside, a testament to the warmth of the small worlds built within those four walls.

It was exactly then that the wind of memory began to blow in my soul and heart, like a familiar scent I couldn't quite name. It was as if an older version of myself, left behind on those streets, was calling out, "I am here."

This walk wasn't a great discovery; rather, it was a deep recollection. I realized once again how precious even the most ordinary moments of life are.

Do you ever take these spontaneous night walks? If so, what does the wind blowing in your heart tell you?

Been to this cosst so often, and it isn't the most attractive or varied. Virtually tideless, unchanging beaches, limited waves...and the coast is spotted with tourist piers blocking any real views.

...all of it means experimentation. Some hits some misses...interesting process whatever the result...

This is definitely one of those pictures that you hear as well as see...for me at least :)

Between going and staying the day wavers,

in love with its own transparency.

The circular afternoon is now a bay

where the world in stillness rocks.

All is visible and all elusive,

all is near and can't be touched.

Paper, book, pencil, glass,

rest in the shade of their names.

Time throbbing in my temples repeats

the same unchanging syllable of blood.

The light turns the indifferent wall

into a ghostly theater of reflections.

I find myself in the middle of an eye,

watching myself in its blank stare.

The moment scatters. Motionless,

I stay and go: I am a pause.

In the morning of my life I shall look to the sunrise.

At a moment in my life when the world is new.

And the blessing I shall ask is that God will grant me,

To be brave and strong and true,

And to fill the world with love my whole life through.

And to fill the world with love

And to fill the world with love

And to fill the world with love my whole life through

In the noontime of my life I shall look to the sunshine,

At a moment in my life when the sky is blue.

And the blessing I shall ask shall remain unchanging.

To be brave and strong and true,

And to fill the world with love my whole life through

In the evening of my life I shall look to the sunset,

At a moment in my life when the night is due.

And the question I shall ask only I can answer.

Was I brave and strong and true?

Did I fill the world with love my whole life through?

The lonely farm, the crowded street,

The palace and the slum,

Give welcome to my silent feet

As, bearing gifts, I come.

Last night a beggar crouched alone,

A ragged helpless thing;

I set him on a moonbeam throne --

Today he is a king.

Last night a king in orb and crown

Held court with splendid cheer;

Today he tears his purple gown

And moans and shrieks in fear.

Not iron bars, nor flashing spears,

Not land, nor sky, nor sea,

Nor love's artillery of tears

Can keep mine own from me.

Serene, unchanging, ever fair,

I smile with secret mirth

And in a net of mine own hair

I swing the captive earth.

Joyce Kilmer

Oh, wonderful, wonderful Word of the Lord!

True wisdom its pages unfold;

And though we may read them a thousand times o'er,

They never, no, never grow old.

Each line hath a treasure, each promise a pearl,

That all if they will may secure;

And we know that when time and the world pass away,

God's Word shall for ever endure.

Oh, wonderful, wonderful Word of the Lord !

The lamp that our Father above

So kindly has lighted to teach us the way

That leads to the arms of His love!

Its warnings, its counsels, are faithful and just;

Its judgments are perfect and pure;

And we know that when time and the world pass away,

God's Word shall for ever endure.

Oh, wonderful, wonderful Word of the Lord!

Our only salvation is there;

It carries conviction down deep in the heart,

And shows us ourselves as we are.

It tells of a Saviour, and points to the cross,

Where pardon we now may secure;

For we know that when time and the world pass away,

God's Word shall for ever endure.

Oh, wonderful, wonderful Word of the Lord!

The hope of our friends in the past;

Its truth where so firmly they anchored their trust,

Through ages eternal shall last.

Oh, wonderful, wonderful Word of the Lord!

Unchanging, abiding, and sure;

For we know that when time and the world pass away,

God's Word shall for ever endure.
