Back on the road again, we see much more of the rural lives of the Indian people. Their skills of making items by hand have probably gone unchanged for years and perhaps centuries! I loved watching them.

These perfume bottles are many years old. They belonged to my mother. A small drop on the clothes was enough to smell good all day long .
The manufacturer of this perfume has changed the name to 'Evening in Paris'. Everything else is the same. The smell is unchanged.

The Old Town in Lublin is extremely beautiful and unique because it did not suffer during the Second World War. Buildings that were created over many decades have survived in an unchanged state, reflecting the atmosphere of past times.
The Lublin Old Market is a central part of the Old Town, it does not have a regular shape. It resembles a trapeze with dimensions: 62 x 72 m. The delineation of the Old Town Market Square is connected with the time when to Lublin granted Magdeburg law by Władysław Łokietek in 1317. Originally, the przyrynkowa buildings were wooden or wooden on the foundation. It was not until the second decade of the 16th century that masonry houses were mentioned.
The developing city has become an important judicial center, through the creation of the Crown Tribunal in Lublin in 1578. For the purposes of the Court session, the town hall building was renovated, which is located in the middle of the Market Square. The market is surrounded by stylish tenements that give the city a special charm.

The highland breed of cattle has a long and distinguished ancestry, not only in its homeland of western Scotland, but also in many far-flung parts of the world. One of Britain's oldest, most distinctive, and best known breeds, with a long, thick, flowing coat of rich hair and majestic sweeping horns, the Highlander has remained largely unchanged over the centuries.
The mustang is a free-roaming horse of the Western United States, descended from horses brought to the Americas by the Spanish. Mustangs are often referred to as wild horses, but because they are descended from once-domesticated animals, they are actually feral horses. The original mustangs were Colonial Spanish horses, but many other breeds and types of horses contributed to the modern mustang, now resulting in varying phenotypes. Some free-roaming horses are relatively unchanged from the original Spanish stock, most strongly represented in the most isolated populations.
In 1971, the United States Congress recognized that "wild free-roaming horses and burros are living symbols of the historic and pioneer spirit of the West, which continue to contribute to the diversity of life forms within the Nation and enrich the lives of the American people".[1] The free-roaming horse population is managed and protected by the U.S. Bureau of Land Management (BLM).
Controversy surrounds the sharing of land and resources by mustangs with the livestock of the ranching industry, and also with the methods by which the BLM manages their population numbers. The most common method of population management used is rounding up excess population and offering them to adoption by private individuals. There are inadequate numbers of adopters, so many once free-roaming horses now live in temporary and long-term holding areas with concerns that the animals may be sold for horse meat. Additional debate centers on the question of whether mustangs—and horses in general—are a native species or an introduced invasive species in the lands they inhabit.
I had heard about a feral horse herd in the White Mountains but had never seen them. My wife and I were out for a drive and ran across them after all these years so I thought I would share them with you! There is a wealth of information on Wikipedia if you would like more information on them :)
I had one in my cowboy years :) She was a wonderful horse named Gypsy and I purchased her from a Navajo Indian. She was a wonderful horse I road for many years and there is a picture of her in my photos. She has a very special place in my heart :)

-------------------------------------------
Of all the Tuscan cities, Livorno is usually considered the most modern, although in its territory there are several historical, artistic and architectural testimonies that survived the massive bombings of the Second World War and subsequent reconstruction. It is famous for giving birth to prestigious personalities and great artists (Amedeo Modigliani, Pietro Mascagni, Giovanni Fattori, Piero Ciampi and many others).
The ditches of Livorno is a moat (not to be confused with a canal) which originally followed the perimeter of the fortified city and which, following the demolition of the ramparts, definitively lost its defensive function. The system of the ditches and canals of Livorno, although subject to numerous changes over the centuries, maintains much of its charm unchanged, so much so that, since 2002, its inclusion in the list of World Heritage Sites has been advocated .
In addition, tradition has it that Amedeo Modigliani, discouraged in 1909, misunderstood and derided by the city and his artist friends, decided to throw some of his sculptures in the Fosso Reale before returning to Paris, the city where he spent the rest of his days and where today he is buried in the Père-Lachaise cemetery.

The Church of St. Wojciech in Chrzypsko Wielkie was built in the years 1600–1609 and has remained almost unchanged until now. The building is one of the last churches built in the Gothic style in Greater Poland. It is a single-aisle building with a wooden ceiling.
In the main altar from the 17th and 18th centuries, there is a painting of St. Wojciech, painted in 1863.

"The Margone" in Montecatini Val di Cecina
From a water reserve used by the old Caporciano mining plant to a marvel of nature assisted by the work of man, the Margone has always been in the heart of the Montecatini people and of those who, once they get to know that environment, cannot help but attend him.
Both during the summer period, also driven by the search for refreshment, when elsewhere the heat becomes unbearable.
Both in the rest of the year ... because - it is easy to see - regardless of the season, the amenity of the place remains unchanged and so does the quality of the cuisine.

Castle "De Trompenburgh" is an important estate in 's-Graveland, probably built by Daniël Stalpaert for Admiral Cornelis Tromp, son of the legendary Admiral Maarten Harpertsz Tromp. The mansion has the shape of a ship and is surrounded by water. From the roof, designed as a ship's deck, the view extended to the Zuiderzee. Admiral Tromp received guests in this house during the summer months.
Trompenburgh is a special building from the Golden Age, it has survived the centuries almost unchanged. As the little brother of Huis ten Bosch Palace, it is one of the special buildings of 17th-century architecture. Both the design, a house with an octagonal dome and the painted decorations in the interior are of great historical value. The statues of women by the water represent the four seasons.
In the picturesque harbor area next to the Groothoofd, Kuipershaven, Wolwevershaven and the Merwekade, dozens of steam-powered ships, machines and vehicles will be on view.

Dordrecht has harbours, but no canals. The Voorstraats- harbour forms the backbone of the old city. Graceful bridges connect the Voorstraat and the Wijnstraat, streets that lie on either side of the water. To effectively handle trade, the Nieuwe Haven (1410) and the Wolwevers-harbour (1609) were created, followed later by the Maartensgat and the Kalk- harbour. The unchanged attractive harbour quarter with its warehouses, merchants' mansions, quays and - now - pleasure boats is found between the Grote Kerk and Groothoofd.
Šutna is the southern area of the old town center in Kamnik. In the past, Šutna represented the suburban part of the medieval Kamnik. Šutna is surrounded by a compact sequence of houses on both sides of the street, which has remained unchanged since the second half of the 19th century. The area is closed to traffic and is classified as a protected part of the city center.

Some places you experience some places you see along the way like this capture of Cancellara along the right bank of the Alvo river among the vineyards and olive tree plantations in the Valle del Basento.
As much as I want to see every little town and village in an area that I visit time is not my friend, on our way to our accommodations for the evening we crossed paths with this little village between Acerenza and Pignola our evening destination as the sun lowers in the horizon.
Like everything in Basilicata Cancellara is old, people have been living here from the 4th century BC and also like most things in the region it has passed through many hands from Greeks, Romans, Lombard’s, Normans to Swabians even briefly in the 19th century under Napoleon’s Republic becoming a Carbonara Rivendita. The towns name is thought to be derived from Roman days named either for the Latin phrase for prison camp "Ager cancellatus" or the Latin word canculi which is a trap used for hunting animals.
The little village is probably best known for its smoked sausage celebrated for its quality and taste throughout the region the technique as well as the recipe has remained almost unchanged for centuries. The careful selection of the right meats from the fall pigs, correct ingredients and spices and generational techniques to rest, smoke and dry the sausage culminate in a finished product celebrated during a Feb 3rd sausage festival in conjunction with the city Saint day feast of Saint Blaise.

Colourful Maltese luzzu's or fishing boats. These fishing vessels are usually painted in gaudy colours and they are a feast of colour worth watching. The luzzu is the main fishing vessel of the Maltese Islands and its shape and decoration goes back hundreds of years. Its structure has remained unchanged and the eye of Horus clearly seen in this photograph is a sure sign that the luzzu and the whole Maltese fishing tradition dates back to the time of the Phoenicians who must have brought over the Egyptian belief that the Eye Of Horus protects its wearers or users from the evil eye.

Harran Archaeological Site is located at Harran Township, 44 km to the south of Şanlıurfa Province. Located at the center of the plain, called with the same name, Harran is at the junction of the roads stretching from south – to north and from east – to west. Having been settled by numerous civilisations, i.e. Old Assyrians, New Assyrians, Hittites, New Babilonians, Meds, Persians, Helens, Romans, East Romans, Emevis, Abbasids, Hamdanis, Numeyris (1059), Seldjuks (1086), Zengis and Ayyubids (1182), Harran was destroyed by Mongolians in 1272, and their people and wealth were carried to Mosul and Mardin. Harran has become the capital city of New Assyrian Kingdom and Umayyad State along the history and is the central city of Diyar-I Mudar at Cezire region. It is indicated that Harran is named such because that it was built by “Haran”, uncle of Prophet Abraham. Harran means “road” in Chaldean language. [1]
Harran is famous for its traditional "beehive" adobe houses, constructed entirely without wood. The design of these makes them cool inside, suiting the climatic needs of the region, and is thought to have been unchanged for at least 3,000 years. Some were still in use as dwellings until the 1980s. However, those remaining today are strictly tourist exhibits, while most of Harran's population lives in a newly built small village about 2 kilometres away from the main site. [2]

This is the first in a series of historical informative images.Vicar's Close next to Wells Cathedral is a stunning medieval cobbled street said to be the oldest continually occupied street in Europe. It was built in 1360 by Bishop Ralph of Shrewsbury.
The house had been the home of the Dryden family since its construction in the 16th century; the manor house was built in approximately 1550 with additions in the 1590s, in the 1630s and 1710.The interior of the house is noted for its Elizabethan wall paintings and its Jacobean plasterwork. It has remained essentially unchanged since 1710 and is presented as it was during the time of Sir Henry Edward Leigh Dryden (1818–1899), a Victorian antiquary with an interest in history. His daughter, the historian and photographer Alice Dryden (1866–1956) was born in the house and lived there for 33 years. She moved away after her father died, since a woman could not inherit the estate and it went to her uncle, Sir Alfred Erasmus Dryden

Point Roberts is a pene-exclave of the United States on the southernmost tip of the Tsawwassen Peninsula, south of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The area, which had a population of 1,314 at the 2010 census, is reached by land by traveling 25 mi (40 km) through Canada. It is a census-designated place (CDP) in Whatcom County, Washington with a post office, and a ZIP Code of 98281. Direct sea and air connections with the U.S. are available across Boundary Bay.
Point Roberts was created when the United Kingdom and the United States settled the Pacific Northwest American-Canadian border dispute in the mid-19th century with the Oregon Treaty. Both parties agreed the 49th parallel would delineate both countries' territories, but they overlooked the small area that incorporates Point Roberts (south of the 49th parallel). Questions about ceding the territory to the United Kingdom and later to Canada have been raised since its creation but its status has remained unchanged.

From the western side of the Loy Canyon, the Coconino National Forest barely resembles a forest at all. The sparse pinion pines, shrubs, sagebrush and cactus are more representative of the desert climate most people associate with Arizona.
Across the canyon, the Red Rock-Secret Mountain Wilderness Area - with its buttes and mesas most closely associated with Sedona - rises demonstrating the colorful strata of the Colorado Plateau. The stratocumulus clouds beyond Bear Mountain indicate very low probability of rain around Sedona on this heavily overcast spring afternoon. This scene has remained relatively unchanged since the time of the Sinagua ancestors of the Hopi, who inhabited the region between AD 1150 and 1350. Their cliff dwelling settlements nearby, named Honanki and Palatki, indicate a stable society that hunted, tended crops, and gathered edible plants and berries around this area.

Tian'anmen (天安门), or the Gate of Heavenly Peace was first built during the Ming Dynasty in 1420.
Tian'anmen is often wrongly referred to as the main entrance to the Forbidden City. Actually the Meridian Gate (午门, Wumen) is the first entrance to the Forbidden City proper, while Tian'anmen is the entrance to the Imperial City, within which the Forbidden City is located. Tian'anmen is often used as a Chinese national symbol.
The gate itself was rebuilt several times, getting the current shape and appearance with a reconstruction beginning in 1645. It was given its present name in 1651 when the construction was completed.
The Tian'anmen gate was reconstructed once again between 1969-1970. The gate as it stood was by then 300 years old, and badly deteriorated. As the gate was a national symbol, then-Premier Zhou Enlai ordered that the rebuilding was to be kept secret. The whole gate was covered in scaffolding, and the project was officially called a "renovation". The rebuilding aimed to leave the gate's external appearance unchanged while making it more resistant to earthquakes and featuring modern facilities such as an elevator, water supply and heating system.
Mao Zedong Portrait: On July 7, 1949 for the first time the pictures of Zhu De and Mao Zedong were hung to commemorate the Second Sino-Japanese War. Since then, from the official founding date (October 1st) of the People's Republic of China, a portrait of Mao Zedong has been hung above the gate. Each year the old portrait is replaced before October 1, the national day of the PRC.
The text on the gate:

Half glazed, half unglazed, these earthenware water jars have remained unchanged in terms of production since the 11th century.
In Myanmar, the Myanmarese bury them in the ground to keep their water stocks cool. They are considered indispensable for the storage of fresh water.
Landgoed “Vosbergen”
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The castle originally dates from the end of the 15th century and took its current form in 1623. Despite being thoroughly restored, it is one of very few fortified noblemen's houses that have been preserved in perfect condition. Moreover, the tight avenue system from the 16th and 17th century around the castle and the meadows has remained practically unchanged.
In the picturesque harbor area next to the Groothoofd, Kuipershaven, Wolwevershaven and the Merwekade, dozens of steam-powered ships, machines and vehicles will be on view.
Steamboats will be making round trips on the river. For children, miniature steam trains will be operating. Various (steam)ships will be open for visitors. Sidewalk cafes and live music will provide a sparkling atmosphere. In the Wolweversharborarea ships and facades will be magical highlighted.

Alex Pangman at her first performance in public this year. She had two lung transplants, so she is immune compromised and careful to stay healthy. She is a radio host at JazzFM and had mostly on-line concerts during the lockdowns and most of the last few years. It's a miracle that she is still singing. Last time I've seen her was in June 2022 (photo in my gallery). Her voice is unchanged even in comparison, when she had her own lungs in her 20's. It was really great to hear Alex Pangman performing live in public, and she was trilled too. The concert was billed as Kevin Ray Clark and friends and the New Orleans based trumpeter has fortunately excellent musician friends in Toronto. The whole weekend was full of great music in the old Gooderham Distillery, which became tourist attraction 20 years ago. It did not attract many Torononians in the last decade or so; let's hope this programming is a change for the better.

Alex Pangman performs a previously unrecorded & unpublished song written by singing legend Connee Boswell in the 1940s. This was finally recorded by Pangman in August 2019 in Toronto Canada with Drew Jurecka violin, & Nathan Hiltz guitar.
On the right: St. Anne's Church. It is one of Poland's most notable churches with a Neoclassical facade. The church ranks among Warsaw's oldest buildings. Over time, it has seen many reconstructions, resulting in its present-day appearance, unchanged since 1788. Currently it is the main church parish of the academic community in Warsaw.
St Nicholas’ Church
Situated in Arne Road, Arne, DORSET BH20 5BJ
The church was built in the early 13th century by the order of the Abbess of Shaftsbury and dedicated to St Nicholas of Myra. The building was first a chantry (a building dedicated to the saying of prayers or singing of hymns). It was then annexed by the Holy Trinity Church, Wareham as a Chapel of Ease (St Nicholas was a church used by the parishioners of Wareham to attend when it was too difficult to attend their main church).
The church consists of a body and a chancel, under one roof with a porch and a buttress. The architecture is early English. The East window is a triple lancet and can be used to dating the church to about 1220. There are a few other 13th lancet windows on both north and south walls. The walls are ironstone and the roof is tiled and partly stone slates. It is remarkably unchanged since its early construction.
There is a bell but no tower. The bell is hung in the roof space at the west end of the church. The original bell was installed in 1625 but then replaced in 1782. This new bell cast by the company Chapman and Mears. There were restorations in the 19th century and in 1952 but I cannot find out what they were.
The church is sat upon a mound and has a fine view from the altar window over the harbour. It has also won an award for the quality of wildflowers in the Churchyard.

Ann representing The Winding Valley, Sponsored by United Inshcon.
Eldowyn Inshan has successfully recreated this cursed town. The fight between its inhabitants and the witches ended without winners, but with the curse of remaining unchanged and invisible to the outside world, except for some special days, and without the villagers being able to leave the place. United InshCon is the sponsor of this mountain town where a tense calm permeates the atmosphere.
Ann wants to represent the people of the valley who kept their traditions and celebrations despite the curse. With traditional dresses, among the grass and flowers, they sing and dance for several days. Their happy songs and laughter are sometimes heard in the outside world, but no one can know the source.

Oracabessa, Jamaica
Our small group of five were the only visitors at Firefly. We wondered if, perhaps, Noel Coward, is unknown to some of the younger tourists in Jamaica. The house is unchanged since the day Noel Coward died and clearly in desperate need of restoration...although the site is beautifully maintained. It saddens me to think how it will fare in the future.
