Dear Autumn ....

I have to tell you, that ours is over ...

I find it unbearable to think that within a year we will not see, but keep that little leaf fondly how good times we did spend ...always yours ... B :-)

Panorama shot of a Chinese rural landscape. Handheld, stitched from 4 images. View in XXL

Gulucun is a tiny village in China's Guangxi province - some might say "in the middle of nowhere".

Shot taken in winter - the dry season. And it's cold there in winter....

In summer it's unbearable hot and humid with lots of rain.

So many we have lost ... real people like you and I behind the unbearable numbers ... a time to mourn and remember them.

"Even in our sleep, pain which cannot forget falls drop by drop upon the heart until, in our despair, against our will, comes wisdom from the awful grace of God." ~ Aeschylus

For over 4,000 years Mother Nature has thrown everything she had at this tree... Unbearable cold, blizzards, gale force winds, drought, searing heat, earthquakes, and unrepentant tourists, and The Guardian has weathered every storm, every threat, every challenge and remained standing, though it succumbed to inevitable mortality over 500 years ago.

This ancient bristlecone pine, situated with one other tree on the edge of a steep slope in the White Mountains has been the subject of countless photographs under a variety of conditions. I was here with a group for an astrophotography workshop, and although I am pleased with some of the images I captured later that night, this one is the one that stands out above all others.

During the last weekend in August, the daytime high temperatures - even at 9,000' elevation - were above 80° F, and at nearly 8 PM, still holding in the upper-60s, while Bishop and Big Pine in the Owens Valley below, roasted in the 90s and 100s. The heat of the valley combined with the cool air crossing the ridge tops above the Sierras to the west create interesting weather and clouds in the late afternoon, which seemed daunting initially, but cleared soon after sunset to allow for clear skies when it was time to capture the galactic core of the Milky Way above.

"The Margone" in Montecatini Val di Cecina

From a water reserve used by the old Caporciano mining plant to a marvel of nature assisted by the work of man, the Margone has always been in the heart of the Montecatini people and of those who, once they get to know that environment, cannot help but attend him.

Both during the summer period, also driven by the search for refreshment, when elsewhere the heat becomes unbearable.

Both in the rest of the year ... because - it is easy to see - regardless of the season, the amenity of the place remains unchanged and so does the quality of the cuisine.

There's a hair shot of her in day three coverage but I liked this one even better....because she looks quite sweet and angelic and beacause of the unbearable lightness of being.

Haley Fohr's voice is almost shocking....deep like she's singing about the pain borne in all the world throughout time.

On my way home I found this little feather resting on fragile flower bed. I don't know why but it really reminds me of the book by Kundera, The Unbearable Lightness of Being. “Anyone whose goal is 'something higher' must expect someday to suffer vertigo. What is vertigo? Fear of falling? No, Vertigo is something other than fear of falling. It is the voice of the emptiness below us which tempts and lures us, it is the desire to fall, against which, terrified, we defend ourselves.”

Tomorrow I will go to the library and find this book and read it again. I do think November is a great month to drink hot chocolate milk and read a lot of books.

nada que ver con la novela de Hardy

Brujas, un día de verano con un calor insoportable, turistas invadiendo el pueblo....... al fin pude encontrar un lugar fresco y tranquilo .

nothing to do with Hardy`s novel

Bruges, one summer day with an unbearable heat, tourists invading the town ....... finally I could find a cool and quiet place.

What I like: the positioning, the contemplation of the yellow poppies, the landscape.

What I don't like: My iMac's poor performance in terms of graphics and being pressured to work with shadows.

But where there is light there is shadow!

” An unconditional bond That is unbearable to handle… An unbreakable love Bound together by soul, To hold you up when you fall down. A bond so powerful None can come between…. Because i am you And you are me. A bond to hold on to…. A bond to give you strength, A bond to bring you hope… And a bond to carry peace. A Bond of unbreakable sibling !! “

Some silence is deafening

Some silence feel vengeful and weakening

Some silence is like a thundering

That cuts the skies roaring

From which proceeds a lightning

Silence used to be quiet

Lying on the grassy hills

Under a starry night

But now it rips through my heart

And screams through my mind

No doubt it is more painful than a zillion pricks

Hark! The silence speaks

The silence builds and builds

The end of this is to pluck out the pins

So un-pluck these pins from my heart and skin

For your silence is an unbearable, purposeful sting

... not just unbearable...

WILL BE OFF LINE FOR TWO WEEKS. WILL MISS YOU ALL.

Wading through mangrove swamps. in 30c + of heat, and the massive problems of trying to work out what bird to try and capture first, life will be unbearable,,,,,,,,,, lol.

This is my seventh visit to the Gambia, with my brother Bob, we took a last minute deal, the above image was taken on my first trip out, if you can see me, a bit dated now, especially the camera equipment.

LOOK after yourselves while I am away, God bless and keep you safe.

.....................Tomx..........

Thanking my brother for the holiday and taking the image.

... even though we have no reason to 'dance' into May with the horrifying war in Ukraine in its third month, the unbearable heat in Pakistan and India, the catastrophic droughts, floods and the still increasing warming of our wonderful planet.

These bluebells are not to blame for any of this ... but WE are!

I hope you'll have a wonderful weekend and a good start to May anyway!

Sometimes, it makes me happy just to revisit some old festival crowd photos from a different time before Coronavirus and I can't help wondering-the ones of us who are left-if we'll divide up our memories into before and after.

Without realizing it, the individual composes his/her life according to the laws of beauty even in times of greatest distress.

― Milan Kundera

I'm not sure of values these days. Seems to be more selfishness in my mind. This constant heat is another worry. We have had pretty unbearable humid heat here in Ontario. This has been two months of this. Hard to do anything.Even the bears won't go out.

Lightness pours from the arms

Into the heart giving you the

wings to let go and breath.

A pantomime in the stage of life

Weaving and fighting the gravity

that gives you the freedom to fall!

A judging of muscles

that propel and tease you

through the currents of the destiny.

Those who want to leave the place where they live are not happy ...

(from Milan Kundera, "The unbearable lightness of being")

Losing a child does not make you grow. It wounds you forever. Lost in her pain, a mother may forget that she has a suffering man beside her. A man suffering from the unbearable pain of not being able to console his paramour- a feeling impossible to describe unless you've witnessed the empty belly of the woman you love. We must learn to respect a father's suffering. Recognize his fatherhood of the young lost soul. Men also walk through life barehanded.

As you begin to fall,

The process of fear begins.

The very thought of this reality. Hurts and violently sinks in.

Don't let me go.

For the amount of loss is unbearable.

I will hold your hand through the days of despair.

As you hold mine we wouldn't dare to not care.

The bond of the blood has already combined us as one.

So why sit around while we could be enjoying the love that has begun.

Don't let me fall. I can't be without you.

I'm to obsessed to the point of not breathing when im not around you.

Your body against mine,

Feels so right.

Like your arms wrapped around me so secure and tight.

Lovely days just seem to pass by.

Lonely days fades out and dies.

With you there's so much more of me.

The sky's are bluer and the grass goes from grey to green.

My eyes start to see, How much more you really mean to me.

I love you, I love you how much more can I express.

Just let me fall your love is worth th take

Without art, the crudeness of reality would make the world unbearable.

I tried out my grandfather's Exaktar 35mm to see if it would be a good landscape lens. The lens is said to be one of the worst vintage lenses ever made and I know someone who never got it sharp at infinity. Was I surprised at the result I had gotten with mine. Vintage lenses often vary even among the same models, so someone else might have a different experience with the same glass. Much to my regret, I noticed a severe decline in sharpness at about a quarter of the image toward the left side getting worse and worse up to the edge. Too bad, as this glass really gives a nice depth and renders color like no other. Oh, well, I'll just keep on using it to shoot fairies . . .

I cropped some of the left side because the blur was becoming unbearable. I still wanted to share it with you because I like the wavy pattern on the field.

For you ALL

THANKS FOR THIS 9 !!!!!!! YEARS OF FRIENDSHIP AND SUPPORT HERE ON FLICKR.

Oh soul, torn by unbearable concerns,

Stand up, defend yourself from your enemies,

Outsmart them moving cautiously

through their ambushes.

But do not triumph when you win,

nor lay down crying when defeated,

Nor get overjoyed in your joys,

or overwhelmed in your sorrows

just learn what rhythm governs human affairs.
