Ubuntu-dapper에 DSVisualizer를 설치했다. 이게 리눅스용으로 나와 있을거라고는 생각을 안했었는데... 지금 보는 모습으로는 윈도우용과 기능적인 차이가 전혀 없어 보인다.

A cleaner, more put-together look at the new Ubuntu One Control Panel. I think it illustrates particularly well how much wasted space there is in the current design, as well as demonstrating what a difference can be made simply by consistently aligning elements.

Jag slank in i butiken för att köpa lite rekvisita till nästa skräckfilm. Då jag smög omkring bland läsken för att hitta något riktigt onyttigt föll min blick på ett bekant namn: Ubuntu!
Ubuntu är ett gratis operativsystem med öppen källkod från Afrika. Den marknadsförs som den mest användarvänliga Linux-distributionen för vanliga hemmaanvändare.
Jag köpte ju en pc i våras av en kompis som skulle flytta till Australien och behövde pengar. Eftersom jag får utslag av Windows bad jag honom installera Ubuntu, som visade sig vara mycket enkel och sympatisk att arbeta med.
Nu visar det sig att man kan dricka Ubuntu också, i form av en rättvisemärkt cola. Inte nog med att sockerodlarna i Malawi och Zambia garanteras ”förbättrade arbets- och levnadsvillkor”, dessutom återinvesterar Ubuntu Trading ”15 procent av vinsten i dessa samhällen”.
Sånt tycker vi om.
Fast dricka den skulle jag aldrig göra. Räknar man bort vattnet så består den till 96 procent socker. Visserligen rättvisemärkt socker och inte sånt där otäckt sötningsmedel som många andra av dessa flytande hälsoförstörare innehåller.
