The USNS MENDONCA is a US Navy large, medium-speed, roll-on roll-off vehicle cargo ship. The ship has called Bremerhaven to load some military cargo. Three tugs were needed to manoeuvre this huge vessel through Bremerhaven’s Kaiserhafen.
The weather killed the airshow. Thankfully I went out a day early and got a few good shots while they were practicing. Have a great week.

This is the USNS Yukon, a non-commissioned United States Navy replenishment oiler ship. It is in dry dock for repairs now at Mare Island, Vallejo, California.

From yesterday's Fleet Week airshow in San Francisco, the Blue Angels passed behind Russian Hill as seen from a rooftop on Telegraph Hill. Between us, a marching band boomed down Columbus St for the annual Italian Heritage Parade. A spirit of celebration filled the air.
Lens is the DFA 150-450mm on the Pentax K3II. Shot handheld, which if you follow my flickr stream you know I never shoot without my tripod, so it was kinda wierd and icky holding the camera in my hands, lol. There was no manipulation done to the size nor position of the planes - what you see is how I got it. 100% authentic capture.
