check out these bad boys! they are for the USB bootable version of our linux distribution for media arts, pure:dyne. chun hooked us up with a taiwanese USB manufacturer (good thing chun speaks... taiwanese?) and they turned out so good. 2 gigs so you can have the system on like 800 megs and the rest for saving your files and settings... i think. thats what antonios told me anyway, i'm just the lame duck developer. :)

So, I was having one of those, I-don't-want-to-do-anything days, and so ended up wandering around the house with a camera. Could have done with a macro lens, but found a few things that amused me.
2009 May 19 - DIY USB fan made from old 80mm PC case fan & USB cable. ..Someone had the BRILLIANT idea of using a resistor to create a removable power plug that plugs right into the fan connector. The resistor can be of any value, you just want the wires which are a godsend to solder. ..I <3 the simple elegance of that solution. ..Also, I didn't cut back the extra wires as many online tutorials suggested. Instead, I heatshrunk the power wires w/ resistor leads & the extra ones for some extra stability...(Sorry, no pictures of the removable plug, but rest assured I can take this apart & have a standalone USB power cable for another fan & reinstall this fan into a PC case if I so wish)
