I shot this tattered USA flag at an antique store in Yarmouth Port, Cape Cod with my Olympus OMD EM 1ii. Processed with Snapseed and Enlight apps. Our flag will fly forever, our Founding Fathers’ wishes will stay forever, but we need to rise above the current administration’s actions that undermine our moral foundation.
Wonderful weekend to all. Thanks for the many visits, comments, and faves. Enjoying much you and your fotos. There is so much to learn. Each of you have inspiring opus and teach well. I learn more each day.

Salutations......to all who have served and are serving our country in the armed forces and Those wio serve as first responders in our times of crisis.
I'm so rusty at car show photography. I only been to a few in the couple years where I was going almost weekly before. Things change I guess. I really liked this shot, I know many may not like or call it cluttered or busy. But I like the reflection of the flag in the windshield and the curves of a 1950's chevy along with the dice on the rear view mirror. It just felt so Americana...
In USA, "Flag Day" is celebrated on June 14, which is also my only wedding anniversary.

It took Charlie the Trout three days to wiggle out of the lake to this point. He thought it would be great fun to slide through the snow into the lake. Wilbur the Bald Eagle thought Charlie would make a great meal. Charlie slid down Wilbur's gullet. Not the experience Charlie expected.

The final ceremonial honors at the funeral and interment of a 93-year-old man who served with honor as both a US Marine and then a lieutenant in the New York Poice Department. This was the most solemn of moments, as the Marines folded the flag that draped the casket before presenting it to the family. To the right of this frame, a lone Marine bugler was playing "Taps." -- Staten Island, NYC -- December 6, 2022

Monday, September 5th, is Labour Day in both Canada and the USA. Labour Day is always on the first Monday of September every year. I wish ALL MY FLICKR FRIENDS A VERY HAPPY HOLIDAY.
It is raining with some strong winds here today in our area of Vancouver, BC, so no family picnics in the park by the seashore today!

Wish a very happy birthday to America.
On July 4, 1776, we claimed our independence from Britain and Democracy was born. Every day thousands leave their homeland to come to the “land of the free and the home of the brave” so they can begin their American Dream.
The United States is truly a diverse nation made up of dynamic people. Each year on July 4, Americans celebrate that freedom and independence with barbecues, picnics, and family gatherings. Through the Internet we are learning about and communicating with people of different nations, with different languages and different races throughout the world. Bringing the world closer with understanding and knowledge can only benefit all nations.
Happy Birthday, America!
