A dilapidated electric socket installed on an iron pillar. Apparently unusable due to the melting plastic. However still capable to power the terminal by unconventional engineering (as can be seen from the cable sticking out from the bottom of the socket)

Still waiting to get a real keeper of this scene. This was a quick shot as I was passing by & only had time for a cheeky click!
This is an older shot. I processed this from a single RAW file in SE Pro2 and LR3. I then compared with my earlier HDR version. I totally impressed. The above image is much more evocative and cleaner than the HDR version. The amount of localised control that SE Pro2 gives you, is quite remarkable to say the least. Looks like my HDR days are coming to an end.
These days, you hardly see children playing outside...when i watch these children playing, shouting, fighting ... for few minutes, i too become one amongst them reminiscing my childhood :)
Not exactly the most original framing of the Bay Bridge but the fact that the lights (including the street lights) were out after sunset makes this a bit rare. I have seen the cable lights out on Earth Day and Spare The Air Day but I have never seen the whole bridge blacked out. It was kind of creepy, almost a wasteland feel to it as I drove up. I'm not sure why the lights were out but they came on by the time I drove around the island and back on to the bridge.
