August rain: the best of the summer gone, and the new fall not yet born. The odd uneven time.

The morning had dawned clear and cold, with a crispness that hinted at the end of summer.

Sometimes decay properties are so quiet as to be overlooked. Slowly they disappear. A group of old homes near a bridge are in plain sight but no one seems to see them. Old Chain link fence is almost a curtain covered in spidery twigs. Old farm equipment and household items dot the spongy uneven ground.

“The strange, uneven bill of the skimmer has a purpose: the bird flies low, with the long lower mandible plowing the water, snapping the bill shut when it contacts a fish. Strictly coastal in most areas of North America, Black Skimmers are often seen resting on sandbars and beaches. Unlike most birds, their eyes have vertical pupils, narrowed to slits to cut the glare of water and white sand. Flocks in flight may turn in unison, with synchronized beats of their long wings. The world's three species of skimmers are sometimes placed in their own separate family, although they are clearly related to the terns.” Narrative credit – Audubon. Photographed off the East End of Galveston Island.

My friends, thank you so much for your suppor. I deeply appreciate.

The aqueduct in Segovia - is the best preserved relic of the Roman presence in the Iberian peninsula. Is also a symbol of Segovia on the coat of arms. Created in above first, and the early second century, when Emperor Vespasian or Nerva.

The island is only accessible when the tide is out and even then there are many steep and uneven steps up to the fort.

St Catherine’s Island has a wealth of history surrounding it. The island itself was first thought to be a place of Christian worship, but it was turned into a defensive fort by the War Office in 1866 in response to the threat of French invasion. In 1907 the fort was bought by the Windsor Richards family who turned it into a private house and in 1968 the fort was opened as a public zoo. The zoo relocated in 1979 and the site remained empty. The remains of the fort and other buildings on the island were briefly opened to the public as a tourist attraction in May 2015, but due to conflicts with the county council in August 2016 it closed.

Ben Harper - "Uneven Days"

I follow Ben Harper from time to time.

The years pass and the texts also change.

This one came out very recently and is a very sad song, but very nice, in my opinion.

Even the video is touching.

But if you are on an uneven day, skip it and come back on even days....

The Escaldes-Engordany Bridge is a Romanesque bridge of medieval origin, located in the Andorran parish of Escaldes-Engordany. Cross over the river Valira de Oriente and connect the towns of Les Escaldes and Engordany.

Its structure is of a single arch, has a parapet and has as a singularity that it is quite asymmetric, due to the unevenness of the two extremes.

This Least Sandpiper walks over the uneven ground almost effortlessly in its search for food during migration season. Most of the sandpipers were following the tide in and out, exploring the mud at the edge of the water for their food.

The combination of golden light and wooden fencing helped to create a western look to this image. Add to that a white streak in the sky in the form of a cloud, and balance was achieved. I wanted to find the correct angle that would line up the fence with the ridge. That had me fumbling about while standing on an uneven drop off.

Alone on this ridge, there was plenty of time to work uninterrupted. Only the golden light served as my hour glass. Like the sands that would flow through the apex, light too would continue to change, until absent.

A dragonfly is an insect belonging to the order Odonata, infraorder Anisoptera (from Greek ἄνισος anisos, "uneven" and πτερόν pteron, "wing", because the hindwing is broader than the forewing). Adult dragonflies are characterized by large, multifaceted eyes, two pairs of strong, transparent wings, sometimes with coloured patches, and an elongated body. Dragonflies can be mistaken for the related group, damselflies (Zygoptera), which are similar in structure, though usually lighter in build; however, the wings of most dragonflies are held flat and away from the body, while damselflies hold the wings folded at rest, along or above the abdomen. Dragonflies are agile fliers, while damselflies have a weaker, fluttery flight. Many dragonflies have brilliant iridescent or metallic colours produced by structural coloration, making them conspicuous in flight. An adult dragonfly's compound eyes have nearly 24,000 ommatidia each
