I was laughing uncontrollably while the self timer was counting down... Taku didn't think I would make it having a serious look on my face, so he stuck out his tongue, I laughed uncontrollably when I saw this on the small screen.

My poor Rhodesian Ridgeback. Cats used to make her just shake with uncontrollable excitement. Then when Sassy moved in with her two cats that was no longer acceptable behavior. We all must learn to submit sometime I guess.

Denver was SO excited to shred the trails again today. For the first 10 minutes he just ran around frantically smelling things with his tail wagging uncontrollably and a huge smile.

Repository of the Bastard Isle
My central interests lie in how we navigate uncontrollable change through quantification, the interface of natural phenomena and engineered human means of appropriation though recording and organisation of the hoarded artefacts they generate. My thesis project pursues this through the registration and public dissemination of research on Surtsey (translating to bastard isle’) an island that sprung overnight from the Icelandic sea bed in the sixties and since kept as a scientific reserve forbidden to the public and kept as a study of how life colonises and then departs a virgin landmass as it is eroded back into the sea. The Repository Tower forms a reference facility for academics as well as gallery of artefacts to the public charting past to present, whilst the public forum for research and presentation extends this to cover new developments. As it fills up over time, the tower traces a trajectory of change, manifesting the story of its subjects to visitors. The finite situation of Surtsey which is predicted to be below sea level within the century, is paralleled in the building anticipating the effects of the ocean’s erosion and rising levels in its division between the stronghold of the tower and the more ephemeral elements of the programme which are lost to the sea, leaving only the tower cut off from the coast, a monument to the island.

I had a breakdown last night as I was trying to get to sleep at 3 am. I started sobbing uncontrollably because I was missing Garry so much. The thing that kills us about this parting is the fact that we're not supposed to be apart...it wasn't planned. I know that's how life goes and things almost never go as planned....
But it's been 2 years and we've been together in person for a total of about 3 1/2 to 4 months...so for 21-20 months we've been apart. That's...torture.
So I used a picture I took of the sunset on top of Mount Rubidoux ("our" mountain) when I was in California with him. Thought it'd be a powerful message...but eh-I'm not in love with the picture yet.
Feeling really depressed today...don't love myself, don't love the world, don't love life...I really just wanna sleep.
TRF: It's our fall break...nobody's here. There are MAYBE 3 girls on my floor...if that.
"Hej" – is the danish word for hello, and thereby I/we welcome you to Daam crew's stream/blog/wiki/webpage-kind of thing, which will be written in a uncontrollable fusion between danish and english.

Daam crew is (maybe) a theoretical graffiti crew or something else, it's not yet defined... the letter combination could represent/mean/stand for:
Dumb Ageing Masters
De Åndsvage (graffiti-)Malere
De Århusianske Malere
De Amatøristiske Malere
De Åndede Mestre
De Aands-stærke Malere
Dum i hovedet
(please ad to this list, by commenting below...)

This "(flickr-)thing" here is meant to work as a place to figure this and other things out. It's made for us to discuss and develop ideas about artsy-fartsy shiat, post-graffiti, (yet) unnamed activities, off the wall crazyness and related issues. And last but not least to give way for new ways of viewing these phenomenons in a playfull way, with wild fun energy and dreams in mind all the time except when we are in another kind of mude.
