No Photoshop used!! I used a UV lamp I bought the other day.
Much like flowers, many carnivorous plants utilize ultraviolet light (UV) reflectance patterns to lure insects. Although an abundant component of sunlight, UV is invisible to humans but it is highly conspicuous to the insect eye. Here at nightfall, a UV torch reveals a normally hidden fluorescence of blue light on the pitchers of Nepenthes mirabilis. Although this fluorescence itself may not be strong enough in the day to attract insects, its presence shows patterns in UV reflectance which may guide prey to the nectar-rich portions of the pitcher, such as the peristome and underside of the lid. L.L.D.D. Chief of Research: Violet Song jat Shariff. Tell me I'm wrong.
Violet: You're wrong.
L.L.D.D. Chief of Research: Why are you doing this?
Violet: Because I hate humans with every fiber of my being... and I'll kill every single one of them... almost as quickly as they'll try and kill me.
L.L.D.D. Chief of Research: You used to be human.
Violet: But not anymore, right? I got sick and now I'm something less than human. Something worthy of extermination.
L.L.D.D. Chief of Research: It's academic now, isn't it? You won't make it out of here with that case.
Violet: Watch me.

I know I won't be shooting Infrared images for long so I've made it a point to sneak in some images using an IF filter while I was on my latest trip to new zealand, this one taken by the end of lake wakatipu into glenorchy, I was going for some sort of alien invasion wherein the clouds would seem like flying saucers... complicated and stupid! LOL
Up-close, Poinsettia flowers always remind me of cartoon characters with thick lips.
UVIVF (Ultraviolet-induced visible fluorescence) Macro photograph of a yellow Poinsettia flower (fluorescing red under 365nm UV light, with the pollen bright blue).
All plants absorb and reflect light. Leaves reflect green, and flowers reflect the colours visible to our eyes. Plants also fluoresce when it absorbs energetic short wavelength ultraviolet light and then emit longer wavelengths visible to the human eye.
As insect pollinators can see Ultraviolet wavelengths of light, it is interesting to see how the pollen stands out clearly.
About Ultraviolet Light:
Ultraviolet means: "Beyond Violet", and refers to the beginning of the shorter (more energetic) Wavelengths of the Electromagnetic Spectrum of light. Beyond Ultraviolet lies X-Ray and Gamma Ray.

ok, not my best work in photoshop....it was just one of those, that just didn't wanna look right....so there ya go ;-)
prospect park in Shrewsbury with an ultraviolet filter. this filter lets in a ton of infrared light. all the blues were originally violet but I felt it looked better with the hue changed to a more familiar blue. ISO was high due to not having used the camera since my full spectrum with infrared filtered speedlite experiment. big woops moment.

It is interesting to note that many insects and pollinators are able to seen in the Ultraviolet wavelenghts of light.
