As a longtime user of the Palm OS, I have used my share of software (such as Chapura PocketMirror, DataViz BeyondContacts, and others) for syncing with Microsoft Outlook. When I switched my main home machine over to MacOS X, I was expecting yet another trying afternoon of getting all the data from my Palm Pilot duplicated and manually fixing it, as I have done several times before. Now, since I was using Apple's Address Book and other software, I figured it was going to be a long day.
I was pleasantly surprised when I saw this dialog pop up from Apple iSync.
I really like this UI design for a couple reasons. First, this doesn't always show up, it only happens when more than a certain percentage of your contacts change. Second, the larger font in the table really draws your eye to the relevant information in this screen. It got me to thinking how infrequently you see any variation in dialog fonts in Windows, and that there is definitely a time to break the "standards".
