U2, Springsteen, Kanye, but of course they had not announced anything when I walked by yesterday morning.
U2-station Klosterstraße.
The entrance area of the station is decorated with stylized palm trees from orange , blue and white glazed tiles.
Is it getting better?
Or do you feel the same?
Will it make it easier on you now?
You got someone to blame
You say
One love
One life
When it's one need
In the night
One love
We get to share it
Leaves you baby if you
Don't care for it

To some people, meeting U2 in 1981, when I'd already been a fan for two years, makes me really, really cool.
To others, it makes me really, really old.
I hope I'm not the only fan of "Boy-Girl," their never-on-an-album single, bought for a mint from Howie's record store, who remains a fan today. I wouldn't spend a dime to see them at a big arena, especially since I've seen them at a college venue and two small clubs. But I still buy their records.
They have always stayed true to their sound, even when they went off on little Achtung, Baby tangents.

U2
war (cassette tape)
island records (1983)
.....
I picked this tape up for 0,40€ at a car boot sale the other week. Despite being 30 years old it's still in almost perfect condition... and the tape can still be played without any problem. The Ian Finlay artwork is particularly good and features the same child as on the cover of the 'Boy' album which was released just a couple of years prior to 'War.' The photograph used here is also different from the one used on the album sleeve.
U2 isn't actually a band I like; neither for their music nor for the way they act. Bono in particular, with all his prancing and pontificating, is really someone more than simply irritating. Anyhow, as far as U2 goes, and apart from the Martin Hannett produced "11 O'clock Tick Tock" single that hade been released on Factory Records, this is one of the few U2 discs I ever bought. An album that I actually still have but haven't listened to in at least 25 or more years. I admit that I also have 3 or 4 singles that date from the 'Joshua Tree' period; which I mainly bought for the Anton Corbijn covers but for me U2 have simply been dreadful for most of their career.
