This is an assignment for my Typography Hierarchy course. It's "in the raw" right now because my professor has not seen it yet. Possible revisions might be done to this later, but I think it's definitely the most interesting thing I've done all quarter. :X
Done in Illustrator with Kremlin typeface, Plastic Pill typeface, Helvetica, and I think there might be something else in there too.
Some initial ideas I had for typography based designs inspired by 'Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone.'
A generative typeface created using autonomous agents, grid setup, and separation and target behaviours.
Typography 2 assignment. compiling a book of reading recommendations from my classmates. I created the layouts based on a grid I made, the grid was included in the book, so the reader could see how I constructed each layout.
They were thoughtful enough to use the correct apostrophe even; none of that single-prime careless BS we get nowadays. Awesome.

Assignment for Typography 1. Word Interpretations. The idea was to express the meaning of a word through the spacing, sizing, and placement of letters on a page.
Rainbow colours in thin typography - probably stand out more at night time. Background is made of neon as well, creating many lines and losing the emphasis on the words themselves. Located in shop window so probably aimed to only be read by passerby's, but be seen from a far way.

And, yes, it's crooked because I'm human. Will fix in PS for final project.

3rd round of exploration geared towards developing in-camera techniques for animating motion graphics to arrive at a less mechanical, more organic and optical feel, but with a process that provides flexibility for content control. No compositing is used here, no photoshop manipulation. My constraints are exposures no longer than 30 seconds, all typography and imagery is composed and exposed during that duration.
The next round will deal with registration issues, color and further exploration of foreground / middleground / background shifting of elements.
