Some extra info from my English friend Andy (thanks, my friend ☺☺!):

The high position of the passenger is because the back seat was a pad mounted above the back of the frame and mudguard. There were no dual seats then..!

Blackburne were famous for making motorbike and aircraft engines. They supplied engines to many motorbike companies.

It was the same with the Burman gearboxes. They supplied companies such as BSA, Triumph, Norton, Ariel and others.

I've had a few Brit bikes with Burman boxes. They were unbreakable but built in a primitive way. Instead of oil I used to pump grease into them. Stopped the leaks and made them quieter.....!!!

The front forks are known as 'girder forks' . They pivot at the steering head and have an adjustable friction damper.

The tailpipe is not quite in the Velocette style. They had a 'fish-tail' end. It angled up and down and was 'fluted'.

Here is another collage I made today.

Top left is a Suzuki 250

The middle shot is my husband's Nephew sitting on a Suzuki Katana GSX 1100.

The bottom right is a BMW R 650.

All of these bikes are from the 1980s, The 2 Suzuki bikes belonged to my husband Ian before we met and The BMW bike was ours we had back in the mid-90s.

I saw this Classic motorcycle in the McDonald's car park. I not quite sure what type of bike it is, It starts with M that's all I could see. Can any one help me Id this bike? I would like to say a big Thank you in advantage.

A motorcyclist poses with his bike in an alley of blooming fruit trees. The vibrant pink blossoms create a striking contrast with the green grass, giving the scene a springtime vibe. The rider, equipped with protective gear and helmet, gazes calmly into the distance. In the background, a hilly landscape is visible.

This Bike Shop is located among the many boutiques and shops of Belmont Shore on the Pacific Coast Hwy, Seal Beach Ca.

I saw these motorbikes and I could resist and took a quick shot.

No cycling in the rain.. where's the owner of that bike?

"You should always look around well, before you start #shooting your subject. You never know what is there waiting for you " a friend had advised me.

True...

That day I had gone at the #coast to #photograph the very interesting bloom around it..

And looking around well .... look what I found.. A #bicycle standing on the edge of the #cliff ..

My day turned much more #interesting and active, since I ended up photographing the owner of the bike , a young beautiful #amazone, into the #sea , while the people had gathered around #gazing her poses ....

Dedicated to all my dear ♥♥flickr♥♥ friends♥♥.. Thank you all so much for your visits, faves , comments and love....

And remember... look around well before you start shooting..

Rare electric scooter. I've never seen such a two-wheeler before. It's a very expensive one, over € 1800.

Strange that I found her in such neglected state.

The new Monster for 2021 represents all the essence of Ducati in the lightest, most compact and essential form possible. You can already guess it from the name: Monster, nothing else.

The design of the new Monster is exactly what you might expect from the sport naked par excellence, but in an even more cutting-edge and modern guise. Slinky yet aggressive curves. Classic details with a modern twist. A design that aims to offer pure Monster-style emotion.

A real concentration of style, sport and fun that will make you want to get rid of the superfluous and focus only on what counts, sheer riding pleasure.

The Monster is powered by the Testastretta 11° 937 cc twin cylinder L-shaped engine, with desmodromic distribution and *Euro 5 homologation.

The chassis is an aluminium front frame and contributes to to maintaining the dry weight at just 166 kg. And lightness is key to achieving a bike that is easy to ride, handle, whilst being fast and above all fun.

It's not a big motorcycle

Just a groovy little motorbike

It's more fun than a barrel of monkeys

That two-wheel bike

We'll ride on out of the town

The photo was taken in Komotini (The City with many Bikes) on the outdoor patio of a restaurant. Various colors dominate the original picture and spoil the image value of the bike. So I used Photoshop editing........................................................................

.......................Pablo Nerouda : Ode to Bicycles " ....

I thought about evening when the boys

wash up, sing, eat,

raise a cup of wine in honor of love and life,

and waiting at the door,

the bicycle,

stilled,

because

only moving

does it have a soul,

and fallen there

it isn’t

a translucent insect "

humming

through summer

but

a cold

skeleton

that will return to

life

only

when it’s needed,

when it’s light,

that is,

with

the

resurrection

of each day.

I had just crossed the road and happen to see this motor bike and I couldn't resist and took a photo.

This was the scene while riding the subway back to Manhattan from Coney Island. What amazed me, but probably not unusual, were the bikes brought on board......any access point at the stations I used all had turnstiles and maneuvering a bike would not be easy...:-))
