Another photo of the wonderful Fuchsias from the Fuchsia garden.

They are lovely flowers and looked so good (to me) the other day.

Better viewed large and thank you for your favourites. :O)

ODC Our Daily Challenge: beneficial moments

It took a long long time until I finally decided to purchase new spectacles. I'd love to share my joy

New 365 project in 2021: 186

This is one weird looking gourd. I’m sure it was edible at one point in time but you have to wonder do the warts add to the flavor? I tried various ways of presenting this is where I landed. Some of the variations were NSFW. Give the picture a mental flip or turn your phone around.

What a gorgeous day we are having. This is my Wind Spinner. It is anchored in the herb garden.

I didn't get around to the side early enough to know for sure, but based on earlier photos from a different angle I believe it is eating a damselfly. And without any sense of guilt, too!

My first "real" macro shot - I have bought a macro lens and I can say... I have found a new friend :-D

Nymphaea is a genus of hardy and tender aquatic plants in the family Nymphaeaceae. The genus has a cosmopolitan distribution. Many species are cultivated as ornamental plants, and many cultivars have been bred. Some taxa occur as introduced species where they are not native, and some are weeds. Plants of the genus are known commonly as water lilies, or waterlilies in the United Kingdom. The genus name is from the Greek νυμφαια, nymphaia and the Latin nymphaea, which mean "water lily" and were inspired by the nymphs of Greek and Latin mythology.

I sailed under the bridge in late September, looking back I thought this shot of the famous bridge was somewhat different. This is the north pylon, the south one was still shrouded in mist.

Probably my favourite colour combination, blue and yellow. This is in fact a model glue dispenser.

Atypical North Devon Rural Scene

Taken during the cool of the evening when the house was hellishly hot from the heatwave.

The vine was a saviour, shielding the north facing glass door from much of the intense heat. It suffered very little damage and look, it's putting on a colour show too.
