They were looking around for the source of the strange noise that I eventually realized was a pheasant in the back yard.
The hatshop "Two Cats" is one of the nice little shops in this old medieval town, most of the shops are a beauty to see, filled with all sorts of goods and some with souvenirs.

Monpazier: Shopping
The small village Monpazier, a 13th-century bastide town, founded in 1285 and built by King Edward I of England for trade, commerce and justice. It almost didn't change in the past centuries, a medieval town square lined with an arched arcade, a 16th-century covered market, three of the original six rampared city gates remain and many other traces of medieval history. This picturesque small village is one of the "Les Plus Beaux Villages de France" villages, said to be one of the most atractive in southwest France.

I can count on two hands the number of times Puppythecat and Fidget have snuggled together over the past 15+ years. When they're being bitchy to one another I just remind myself that there are days such as today when they really truly do sweetly acknowledge each other.
Welly welly well, it's those kitty sistas!
As kittens they used to lie together in a lump of fluff all the time. Now, they do their own things.
Still, there are always plenty of occasions for them to bathe each other.
