Trent Barton, ADL Enviro 200 MMC, 157 followed by sister 151 head for Ilkeston on the 'Two' service from Nottingham. This 10-minute service frequency was thrown into chaos due to the insane levels of Christmas traffic congestion along the route. This resulted in the clumping of buses and gaps in the service. A 50-minute gap had elapsed by the time these buses appeared, only to be followed by a third bus, 155 right behind. Unfortunately, there are no on-foot inspectors to regulate services these days, everything done by GPS location and radio communication, which doesn't seem to cut it when it gets this bad.
Interestingly, this was the second day of these buses operating on this service, their launch on this route being on Sunday 21st December 2025, ousting Volvo B8REs from 2015. The replacement 2020 ADLs have come from Kinchbus of Loughborough where they had been used on their Skylink service.
Additionally on the day of this photo, there were at least three stand-in buses working the route (Volvos 723, 747 & Versa 821); I don't know why that was? I did witnesses one of the ADLs (156) blowing off excess air pressure, sounding like an angry rattle-snake as it went down the road. It's never a good idea to mass change things outright before Christmas, it generally only adds to the seasonal chaos and frustrations for passengers and drivers alike.

I love all the animals on the streets in India! Close-up image of two cows having a chit chat in the City of Mysore.
Two fifty pence pieces! I think I'm right in saying these were / are the world's first seven-sided coins .... shape, heptagon!

Saw this a while ago in Perth, Western Australia. This was taken before I had my new lens a polariser, so the there's lots of reflections, but honestly I like them.
Never really found the time to upload this one, so anyway here we are! Hope you like it.

I achieved this effect by editing in the Nik Collection Color Efex 4 using, amongst others, the bleach bypass filter as adjusted by me.
Golden Gardens is a natural area park located in Eugene’s Bethel neighborhood, at the intersection of Golden Gardens Street and Jessen Drive, north of Barger Drive. The ponds in the center of the park were originally pits created by the excavation of gravel for use in construction of Beltline Road. (www.eugene-or.gov/Facilities/Facility/Details/68)
This image may not be fine art or the best photo I've ever taken. It does contain two stories though. One, a story, story and the second a church story!
The story, story;
"Enter the Snaesfelljokull crater, which is kissed by Scatari's shadow before the first of July, adventurous traveller, and thou wilt descend to the centre of the Earth."
Journey to the centre of the Earth, Jules Verne. Well the mountain in the background is Snaefell and its Jokul (glacier)
Church Story.
This unusually black church dates from 1703. Built by locals it was not ordained until much recent times due to religious politics, Churches in Iceland are of two distinct flavours. This kind of traditional shape. But normally white with red, green or turf roofs (go to Hof for the later). Or they are more recent affairs made of concrete, large in size and of what I would describe as a look at me I'm the only church in the village style!
I stamped the image on five different papers. Cut out tiny hats, wings and balloons from various papers. Used pop dots for some tiny pieces and the sentiment. There are three layers of mats. Sewed the gingham pp onto pink cs and added the dew drops for more interest. The yellow green stripes are ribbon. Put Glitter Glue on the balloons and wings and hats. This card seemed gigantic after working with ATC's!!
A second tent was seen going up alongside the first little gypsy bear tent down at Lagniappe in New Orleans! How exciting! We also got word that there may be more, and it's possible they may all be headed for Riversong on the Elk River here in Alabama, where there are many more tiny bears!
Happy Teddy Bear Tuesday!

I fell in love with these little tents! The lady who creates them makes two different sizes. They are crafted with so much care and flare! Bev is an amazing person and an artist in sewing and imagination. Her tents are simple wonders - I can say that after an attempt at even a pup tent was a complete failure for me to create! And these adorable tents in MANY different colors and designs come with two sleeping bags for anyone needing a cozy rest! She & I are having so much fun with a collaboration! No, don't ask yet!

As the gypsy tents happened, I also found and fell in love with some tiny knit bears that have come ALL the way from England! Angela's artful little bears are indeed the gypsy bears that are gathering together here in the States! They are articulated and such colorful little travelers full of personality! There are more than a few of her little ones that she has sent on their way to me, and I know for a fact that several have other destinations, too. So no, I am not telling how many bears yet, either! Watch for "the gathering!"

Former Strathtay 407 after going for a brief road run in the February sunshine to meet up with sister bus 431, now reunited in preservation in the same ownership. Pictured in the grounds of Dundee Museum of Transport.
Both were new to Midland Scottish, BIG 4269 as MPT112 (BMS 512Y), MUI 808 as MPT127 (A127 ESG) with a Duple body. Its East Lancs rebody dates from 2000.
These two Datejusts were among the many Rolex available at Kwotch, a watch store at the Starling Mall.
The one on the right has a 'Jubilee Dial' (with repetitive 'ROLEX ROLEX ROLEX' pattern engraved on the dial face.) The Jubilee Dials appeared on a number of model around 1985; it marked the 80th Anniversary of Rolex's founding.

Billy Two Feathers is a Scout for the U.S. Cavalry. He was originally a scout for the 2nd Texas Mounted Rifles during the Battle of Glorieta Pass in the New Mexico Territory during the American Civil War. After his capture by the victorious Union forces, Billy was given the choice to serve as a Scout for the U.S. Cavalry or be sent to a reservation. Despite his fierce loyalty to his native Texas, Billy chose to serve the Pony Soldiers as a Scout. He is well praised by his commanders for his excellent tracking and scouting skills. However his unwillingness to give up his former service cap, frustrates them.
