Two Cans - No, not an exotic bird in Carlisle, but in any case a rare bird at this time of day in broad daylight, normally only seen whining through the station nocturnally on intermodal services to and from Coatbridge Freightliner terminal. A light loco positioning move between Crewe Basford Hall and Coatbridge found Powerhaul-liveried 86622 and older-liveried 86609 in between crew changes on 29th October 2012. The puddle on the platform in the right position was an added bonus!

String of hearts plant in a hanging basket at home....these two caught my attention ....symbolizing my partnership with my wife...growing together side by side.
Normal and cart escalators! Also, skylights are a Target rarity!
A rarer two level Target store in University Heights.
The University Square shopping center was opened in 2003. Today the shopping center has Target, Macy's and T.J. Maxx / Homegoods (Target and Macy's own the property their stores are on). University Square once featured a Tops grocery store on the bottom level but it closed just a year later in 2006 when Tops closed all their Ohio locations. Retailers such as Jo-Ann Fabrics, Foot Locker, Famous Footwear, and Pier 1 Imports have all either closed or relocated elsewhere. Some spaces in the shopping center were never filled to begin with. Currently (late 2016), only one non-anchor store, T.J. Maxx / Homegoods, remains at University Square, but plans to move to nearby Oakwood Commons. Applebee's also still has a restaurant in the shopping center. Today, there are talks about possible mixed-use redevelopment plans for University Square
The shopping center has five levels of parking and staggered store levels. 1- Access to Macy's and Applebee's, 2- Empty Tops Friendly Market level, 3- Access to Macy's, T.J. Maxx / Homegoods, and Target, 4- just for parking, 5- second level of Target.

Another shot from this afternoon's Scott Kelby Worldwide Photo Walk. There's another version of this snap - and a little article about it - on my blog.

I like the way the two rock outcrops point towards the horizon in this 3 minute exposure. Nice diagonals and repeating lines in my opinion.
I'm glad this image is finally out. It has taken a while to do and with some advice from a fellow photog it has gone from colour with large negative space in the upper half to a B&W 2:1 crop.
The late afternoon was very overcast, windy & lots of seaspray. I was having trouble seeing in the darkness and finding a focus point. As you can see i decided to focus on the bottom right point of the rocks in front so your eye goes from left to right.
Don't forget to leave me a line, as that would be appreciated.
Jason.
These two young Mallard Ducklings appear to have virtually reared themselves on the Bridgewater Canal. I did see Mum with three and then just three and now only two, but the survivors seem to be thriving and looking out for each other.
These past few days we have lost Dame Angela Lansbury and beloved Scottish actor Robbie Coltrane.
Angela Lansbury was best know for her long running TV series, Murder She Wrote, as well as a glorious film career in which she was nominated for three Academy Award (Gaslight, The Picture of Dorian Gray, The Manchurian Candidate). I remember watching Bedknobs and Broomsticks many times as a youngster.
Robbie Coltrane was a three time BAFTA winner for his role as Fitz in Cracker. He was well known for playing Hagrid in all eight Harry Potter movies as well as Valentin Zukovsky in the James Bond films, Goldeneye and The World is Not Enough.
RIP to both of these acclaimed actors. Lansbury was 96; Coltrane was 72.
This shot was taken last week in Tamworth, Staffs. We were driving along and i saw these two trees on the top of a hill. Obviously we had to stop.
