Please join me on the blog today as I make up a simple, weighted blanket - commonly used for people with sensory disorders, those on the autism spectrum, and to help treat anxiety conditions.
This version is made in flannel and bound with a 1/4" double-fold binding. It weighs 4 pounds, with 6" channels, and measures approximately 39" by 51".

This tutorial will show you how to make a simple drawstring bag with French seams. French seams encase your raw edges so that you don’t need to add a lining and you will end up with a very neat little bag. Once you have made one, you will want to stitch yourself a little stash, they are perfect to use as toy bags, laundry bags or a even a wash bag.

Star wall hanging using tutorial from Anyone Can Quilt. Blogged at lisaannslife.blogspot.com/2011/10/october-monday.html
Playing around with this sketch tutorial. ClaraDon turned me onto a twist. In the last step, instead of Gaussian blur, choose filter, other, minimum with a radius of 1 or 2. OK, following so far? Here is my twist.......create an image with Don's twist and then make one following the tutorial. Put the "tutorial version" on top in the layer palette and choose layer style "multiply". This is how this image was created, by using two techniques together. Have Fun!

Here is a tutorial for how to view my 3D photos.
You'll need to look at the full size image to see the animation.
It may take a while to load becasue it's about 4MB.
The animation illustrates the steps described below:
- Put your finger up against the screen at the middle of the two images.
- Now keeping your eyes focused on your finger, slowly move it towards your face, away from the screen.
- You should notice that behind your finger the two images spit into four images, and as your continue to move your finger closer to you, the two middle images come together and end up overlapping.
- Once that happens you've found the correct focal point for the image.
- Move your finger down slowly so that it no longer covers any part of the image and hopefully your eyes will now show you the 3d image in all its glory.
