Please join me on the blog today as I make up a simple, weighted blanket - commonly used for people with sensory disorders, those on the autism spectrum, and to help treat anxiety conditions.
This version is made in flannel and bound with a 1/4" double-fold binding. It weighs 4 pounds, with 6" channels, and measures approximately 39" by 51".

I did this one fairly simply for a PS support group question. REALLY LARGE
1. I filled the bottom layer with a blue gradient ( I did fancier stuff to with grain and motion blur but ignore that for this show and tell).
2. ON A NEW LAYER. Choosing the round marquee tool and holding the shift key draw a circle and fill that with a baby blue.
3. Duplicate that layer (the one with the baby blue circle). command/ctrl +j.
4 choose free transform (command/ctrl + t) and with the shift key held down move the circle on the top layer to the right until you have two circles showing. Hit return/enter. If you're wondering, the shift key contrains the movement to right or left or up or down.
5. NOW HERE'S THE COOL PART. do this until the circles extend from left to right..... command/ctrl + option/alt + shift + t ...... this dupes the last transform.
6. Starting with the top layer do command/ctrl + e until all the circles have been joined into one layer.
7. duplicate that layer.
8. use free transform again with the shift key held down and drag it down until you have two rows of circles.
9. Now DO THE COOL THING AGAIN. ... command/ctrl + option/alt + shift + t .....
10. Then from the top command/ctrl + e until all the dots are in one layer.
Now. you're done unless you wanna make it jazzier by adding blending effects via Layer > Layer Style > Blending Options.

Forcing myself to do a tutorial of Dreamweaver instead of diving in. Not sure why. Can you tell I was the type of kid always bored in class?

Stick big flathead screwdriver with tape on between the plates and move it gently towards her ear. That's where the catch is so once there just pry open carefully. If not careful you may scratch your blythe and make more sanding work for yourself.
Please note that there are two pages to this tutorial
Small note to people who add this to their favourites ... I freely share the tutorials. In return, the only thing I ask is that you do the same. Bottom line: block me from viewing your stuff, and I'll return the favour

To make the transparent glass, make sure you still have your selection from the last step.
4a. Click Colors, Curves.
4b. Near the top, choose change the Channel selection to Alpha.
4c. In the graph area, the default far right line will end with a black circle or dot. Click and hold down this dot and move it straight down, to almost the bottom, just like the picture shows.
4d. Click OK and make sure you keep that selection.

It seems like people like this kind of thing. I think it's OK and useful.
1. Dupe background layer (command/control + j) and put Layer 1 in softlight blending mode.
2, Go Filter > Stylize > Glowing edges and move all sliders to the right and click OK.
3. Gaussian blur that layer about 20.
4. Go command/control + option/alt + shift + e to create a new layer with all the edits. It's called "stamp visible"
5. Put that layer in Hardlight blending mode and go Filter > other > Highpass and set it at about 100.
I also wrote an action for this and you can get it at my website www.allangengler.com click on PS actions and it's "Weird Effect."
