Need some fun? Try out this tutorial for an origami waterball garland. Not only is it simple enough to do with the little ones, but a fun way to pass some time. All you need is some paper cut into squares, some string (embroidery floss used in the image), and a needle. Get creative with your color choices, types of paper you use, and additions you decide to make to the garland.

These photos come from a tutorial I did on how to modify wide boots to fit the calf of the wearer.

I'm on a Photoshop tutorial kick these days! I just loved this one (before and after are posted here) for achieving a vintage effect. The directions were easy to follow and I was very pleased with the final tones.

See veerle.duoh.com/blog/comments/photoshop_vintage_effect/ to try it if you're interested :)

This Pendant is based on Emma Ralph's Clarice beads and Helen Breil's shapes. I love both tutorials.

I need to do something with the inner edge....

This is the curling supplies you will need. You will also need two rubber bands, and some moose.

Please download this photo to follow along in the OOB tutorial.

These photos are from a tutorial on how to diy a cancan/straw boater hat.

Half Square Triangle Tutorial. Makes two at a time. Blogged about here: beechtreelanehandmade.com/2015/11/22/half-square-triangle...

LARGE VIEW

First reverse the coat.

Mark with a paper pencil where the wrist and the thumbs are.

For the mark the best is to put the clothes on the doll

Step 2:

Fold the hijab into a big triangle, the middle of the flat part should go over her head, the ends coming down over her chest. The point of the triangle should go down her back.

Then safety pin under the chin like you would your own hijab. I got tiny safety pins at the craft store for this.

Collana formata da tanti cerchiolini a crochet.Il tutorial è di Roberta Castiglione

Blogged the tutorial on how I've been folding fabric at my place and my mom's. Check it out on turningturning.com/.

The title is really an oxymoron, since, there’s nothing plain about the tutorial at all (however, it’s still quite plane). In case you really want to fold this model of mine (as far as I know, it’s original), then you should go here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=nDUI5DP-U6E I’m fairly pleased with this tutorial, as it’s my first official try at that sort of thing.

UPDATE: You can find the newer, better tutorial here. The original description continues below.

(The rough draft is here). I’m not pleased with the audio quality, but that’s what I get for trying to remove the white noise that my camera felt necessary to insert. My voice doesn’t usually sound that flat, or at least, I hope it doesn’t. Also, I think the How to Throw section at the end wasn’t really necessary, since throwing a paper airplane isn’t that hard. (but can you crash yours as spectacularly as I crashed mine?)

Of course, I did make the tutorial several months ago (It’s actually this photo that I procrastinated on), and since then, I’ve made a few others, such as cutting hexagons and pentagons from rectangles. And while we’re on that subject, a while ago I also made a photo progression showing how to fold my Starburst Yarmulke Bowl model. Go check those videos out. Oh, and welcome to my dojo.
