I decided to bulk upload the rest of my 2016 Mermaid Parade pix. If you celebrate the 4th, have a happy.

Of the four turtle brothers, Michelangelo's fun loving attitude has earned him a reputation as the party dude. In his spare time, Michelangelo prefers surfing, skating, and enjoying a slice of pizza, but when it comes to the fight against Shredder and the Foot, Michelangelo's Nunchaku skills are serious.

This composite is part of a series inspired by the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The images are intended to blur the line between reality and fiction in photography.

at school over the weekend, I had to teach my students Pedicures and French manicures, after the lesson we had time to kill so i had them do some creative "Nail art" I decided to participate and do a set of ninja turles! I did two, the leftmost and the second from the right, and one of students Ashley was so into the idea she did the other two. I love my job! its so hard to believe I get a paycheck for this.

Protecting James Joyce is a hard job.

I cannot describe the nightmare it was to get these costumes done. We came to the concensus about 2 months prior to this that we were going to be Ninja Turtles as our group costume this year (last year we came as crayons). At first we were going to make them, but then we figured they'd look aweful, so we're like screw it, lets just buy them. So we went to 80stees.com and found the shirt, and we were all set to buy them. Well I was the only one who bought it from the site. Turtle to the right of me, found hers on another website, turtle in front waited till the last minute and had to go to a local store to get hers, and turtle to the left had hers put on back order until November, so she had to go to yet another store online to get hers. Unfortunately turtle to the left wasn't paying attention to the color she was ordering, and ordered my color (so she had a friend cut out the shape of the eyes on the beanie and tie a belt around her to disguise the fact that both of us are Leonardo.

Then came the pants. Our idea was just to find some scrubs to rock those. Unfortunately all the scrubs in the entire universe are like aqua blue, and marinna green....not TMNT green. Last minute, like 3 days ago, I find these pants at Target. So I call turtle in front who goes after work, and they are sold out. Turtle to the right finds hers 2 sizes too big tucked behind a dressing room door of a different target, adn the last turtle goes to 3 different Targets before she gets her. The hats, we all barely managed to get in time, but turtle in front had hers on back order, and gave up trying to wait for it.

Last but not least, broke, and miserable, we each decided to rip up old shirts and just tie on our knee pads and wrist guards which kept falling down all day long....

All the crap it took to get to take this picture....PRICELESS. TURTLE POWER!

When everyone is asleep, why not have the Ninja Turtles re-enact the beheading of Ned Stark from Game of Thrones!?
