These two were looking a bit tired from the demands of two youngsters to be fed. Today I am looking back at Cobbledicks Ford in June last year. I am really missing our monthly 'working bees' at Cobbledicks. Hopefully we will be able to resume before the end of the year.

I've always had a love of mountains in winter, and staying in Alpe Devero in the Italian Alps was really magnificent, and we did some wonderful high walks into the mountains. It's such a peaceful place with no cars , and made a perfect start to the new year. I feel so lucky to have these opportunities. Turned 21 is a. great song by Wilko Johnson and Roger Daltrey that was playing in the car as I drove back through blizzards from Italy to Wales in one push. An epic journey after an epic holiday.

Pulled in at Kneeton near East Bridgford on the way home from a visit to the coast. I liked this shot of the sheep and lambs and this is cropped to about a quarter I reckon.

Its sharp enough I suppose but I dislike the oof area's..

This is the lens I was referring to that I just don't like that much but it doesn't do such a bad job but..... you know I just am not that pleased with its performance.

For those who don't know the sport, women’s barrel racing is a rodeo event in which a horse and rider attempt to complete a cloverleaf pattern around preset barrels in the fastest time. The event tests both the athletic ability of the horse and the horsemanship skills of the rider.
