Der markante „Gerrix-Turm“ mit dem Wahrzeichen der Hütte, dem G mit Krone, wurde nach Entwürfen des werkseigenen Baubüros 1966 errichtet. Sein 1955 errichteter Vorgänger war 1964 abgebrannt. Als Fundament des Turms fungiert die Kartonagehalle, das Gebäude unter ihm.
The "Tower of Dreams and Longings" was a gift from the City of Luxembourg to the City of Trier on the occasion of the State Horticultural Show 2004. For most viewers today, the tower is an imposing building, through which the City of Luxembourg commemorates its friendship and connection to the City of Trier puts.
