Langley, BC ... the little red house that sits abandoned on Western Turf Farm in Glen Valley .... minding the turf.
Every photographer I know has photographed this little house. In the past few years it is showing it's age ... falling down a bit more as time goes by.
Here, I played in Photoshop giving it a new sky, a painterly feel, a pretty sunrise and purpose. It's been minding the turf for so long ... it's about time it gets recognized for it.

I had wanted to photograph this windmill for some time but unfortunately the only evening I was able to go we did not have the best sunset. I still like this shot though.

Machine cut and skillfully hand stacked to dry. These will be left until next spring before they are removed to fuel the fireplace or range of the bog owner or his neighbours.

Klasmann Deilmann laadt op pallets gestapelde, verpakte turf in schuifwandwagens voor afvoer naar verschillende bestemmingen (onder andere Antwerpen en Kaiserslautern stonden op de wagenbriefjes). Op 7 maart 2014 heeft V100 "Emsland" (de voormalige DB 211 308) van de Emsländische Eisenbahn (EEB) zich voor de vertrekwagens geplaatst en controleert de rangeerder nog even de wagens. Hierbij ontstond een leuke line-up met de rangeerloc van de turffabriek.
This is an old section on the old road that used to lead into town. It's still very accessible and right on the bay. The GPS here is a little bit off, but once you are near Bolungarvík, this place is easy to find.

The Turf Club is lit up inside with all sorts of vintage neon, argon and krypton signage that glow different colors.

I was on my way home from the grocery store and saw this guy parked so I wheeled into the parking lot across the street and shot out of the windshield.. And as luck would have it someone wanted in and of course I'm in the driveway .. Happens everytime it seems.. LOL!! Happy Truck Thursday, Everybody!!!!!!!!!

USPS and UPS both delivering packages at the same time. Looks like they tried to stay clear of each other.
While trying to photograph a heron these rascals started fighting and splashing each other. The water spray caught the magic hour light. At night they are the loudest rowdiest bunch, incessantly honking at each other.

Rail Replacement Services in Northwood means that services operating with double deck vehicles start from this stop, which is usually served by 331s towards Ruislip. The service also runs along a part of Rickmansworth Road which is only served by route 331. This may be interesting for those obsessed with double-deck vehicles, as the 331 is unable to run with double deck vehicles, even if it is a short run. Metroline VW1054 (LK10BXZ) is seen loading passengers at Northwood Station.
A reconstruction of a Greenlandic turf house is at the museum in Sisimiut, Greenland. Right up until the 1960s nomadic Inuit lived in turf houses in winter and tents in summer.
