July 10 Our featured 'Listen Local' Band was 'Stay Tuned' one of New Jersey's leading practitioners of Garage Pop, a swirling alchemy of R&B, Soul, Psychedelia & Americana sprinkled with jazz, world music and electronica. The versatile quintet embraces a rich and diverse body of music. Drawing on their film and theater background, Stay Tuned creates dynamic, immersive performances that turn audiences into collaborators.
The artists known as Stay Tuned are: Scot Glazer on guitar and vocals, Jay Greenfield on drums, Da Nickster on bass, Dennis Nobile on guitar and vocals and Abena Ofori-Atta on vocals, percussion and guitar.

Discovered a powerful pirate station had popped up on the frequency the Niftymitter was tuned to, and so had to find a quiet spot on the dial and re-tune the transmitter.
Re-tuning is easy and simply requires a screwdriver. I used a "trimming tool", which makes the job slightly easier due to being non-ferrous and thus meaning that you can tune to the right frequency with less adjustments (ferrous tools have a capacitive effect on the circuit, and this means that the frequency changes slightly as you take the screwdriver away). These tools are very cheap, and its not particularly difficult to do the job with just a normal screwdriver.
