When I was in Boarhills last week, I spotted a beautiful cluster of tulips growing in a corner of a garden there. When I went back yesterday to grab some shots, also near the garden was a lovely thrush and the cockadoodledoo, amazing what's around when you look.

Monday was Maine Day at the Coastal Maine Botanical Garden in Boothbay. There were lots and lots of beautiful flowers and not too many people when my wife and I were there. An expanded image of yesterdays upsidedown tulip.
This is a great botanical garden that gets better every year. Accessible by road or sea. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys plants in general and flowers in particular.
