My two sons were leading the way on this trip. Sometimes, on the steep sections, it was hard to keep up. Here, I had no excuse other than stopping to take pictures.

Ah, I love it! You are all so wonderful with your comments, visits, favs and invitations. Without you I'm sure this would never have made Explore. This is one of my personal favorites.
Sunset's have been few and far between this summer. Maybe the drought will subside soon. Great weekend all!
I was not ready for this little guy when it started to run, I was not at all zoomed in but took the shot anyway. It is very cropped but loved it. Still did not get what I am looking for, it will come some day, hopefully :o)

When our holiday cottage in Norfolk mentioned Little Owls, I was sold. These were in a disused bit of the farm 50 metres away, and I didn't waste any before asking the farmer if I could setup a popup hide. So, holiday sorted. On this particular day, the owls had perched quite close to the hide and I had to crawl to it through stinging nettles (cue sleepless nights with stinging legs). It did however allow for some amazing Little Owl watching. Including this from an adult, who was overheating and therefore opening its mouth and panting to try and cool down.
Taking advantage of Saturday to get some rest.

Trying to slow down and appreciate the smaller things on the reef with a macro setup. Pretty tough to find these things while freediving. Went three days in a row and this was the only one I found. Looks like I have a new mission in life.
A pair of former Soo Line SD60s, CP 6304 and 6308, lead a rock train over the swollen banks of the Crow River at Rockford, Minn.
