I admit it, I love playing with light, as if that wasn't abundantly apparent by now?! This was two years with the D3400, and so I have come to realise that, sometimes it's worthwhile going back over old stock, seeing how far you have come and rediscovering old gems. People think revisable exercising is secular only for exams and tests, yet in life progress is always wanton for revision, essentially the retracing of one's steps as a more valuable an exercise than prevailing progress. As they say, it's not always the arriving at the destination but the experience of the journey itself, reliving it can be truly magical.

I was stood under a bridge when I took this, some solid ground gave some good support for the tripod right next to the pillar with some black graffiti adorning it. It was perfect to get a good urban view over the highway at ground level, it also represented a good point of reference to limit the angle and get some good stills and ICM.

So this is my first attempt at dashboard LE photography as a change for "Where the Wild Lights Are"; but guess who only cleaned the window on the outside **sheepishly raises arm** however, it was a good first attempt and as I have always said, in photography you either get the shot you want, or you learn and you never stop learning in all respects.
This on my way back from Berlin heading back to Storkow, we came up behind this truck and I asked my partner in crime, Vera, to go a little faster and get behind it, but unfortunately it then changed lane hence the drag over to the left, BUT, I feel the spirit of the imagine image is not lost.

Tragedy has struck, my beloved D5600 has developed several faults at once thus I have had to send it back, and it's refund or find another. The LV was completely distorted, the menu screen was faulty and the focus was no longer sharp. Seems the circuitry was starting to fall apart. It'll be at least a week before I hear back from the supplier but they were good enough to pay for the shipping as it was well within the 3 year guarantee.
Thus I decided to go a bit rhetoric 80's whilst digging through my archives, this one I took in 2019 with my old D3400 outside of a technical college in Berlin city. There were these multi coloured cuboids all slowly changing colour, so setting this to a longer exposure time wasn't working, the 1 second was to try and define all the alternative colours, without them blending into one.
I exploded the saturation and was greeted with, having originally tweaked the WB, with a colourful contradiction of dystopia and colours into one.

Another for the "Where the Wild Lights Are" project and again from the LE dashboard attempt from Berlin to Storkow. This is something I will look to attempt again when I get my camera back; unfortunately the issue with such an attempt is dust, vibration, focus and bug guts. What is also the challenge is getting the "triangle" right, that is of course, ISO, Shutter Speed and Aperture; everything is in motion, the subject, the camera (albeit within a vehicle) plus the greatest problem is the differing lights conditions / intensity / angle / etc, that is encountered within each and every LE.
The best method I conjured is to set the Shutter Speed to BULB, put the ISO to 400, Aperture to 10f-stops and then say a little prayer to the universe, affix the camera with your hands to the dashboard, securing it as best as possible and go for it. This photo though was at 30 seconds as the environment was constantly changing so thus I decided to sit back and allow30 seconds to run through and then see what I had, this is it.
Think of it like this, it's a 3 course meal of differing cuisines whilst moving at top speed, you smell, eat and digest all in a matter seconds of which it all conglomerates not one singular experience / image.

Back with the answer to the enquiry of "Where the Wild Lights Are" project, another one from the road back from Berlin to Storkow, this was a tricky and somewhat illegal (well, one would say more naughty than law breaking) shot to take, over a 21 second BULB exposure, utilising the wing mirror attachment as a resting point, both hands on the camera, with the additional hand grip, whilst Vera drove side to side from lane to lane, on a clear road with the exception of the truck ahead of us with red lights all over it. The result was almost a carousel looking light effect and we both love it!
It's great fun when two lover's beholden to our knowledge can merge our skills and go wild with it!

So my foot finally healed up and the weather improved enough for me to find the motivation to get out the door again, I had been itching for days to get another of the abstract project I am working on for "Where the Wild Lights Are" , I took a good few the other night and will post them up over time, some more extreme than others. Let's just see what works.
Oh and yes, my fancy ass titles as well!
I got these mad ideas from a book I read when I was a child called "Snigglets" now a Snigglet is any word not currently in the English dictionary but should be, usually used as an improvised adjective to describe odd and funny circumstance. When the internet came about a website was setup where people could send in their made up words, mine was "Frustrastab" which is for the moment when a device is not working fast enough or at all, so the user aggressively stabs repeatedly the function button in the vain hope, that'll make it work any faster, such the elevator or the lights at a pedestrian crossing and so on!

Back in November I decided to push forward with the collection for "Where the Wild Lights Are" and went to a good spot full of traffic lights, trucks, lots of traffic and illuminated sign posts, for another words, just add lights! I want to carry on playing around with it but I have since moved to Storkow in Brandenburg outside of Berlin, so may have to do some serious walking to get to another highway to add some more. But I am used to covering long distances.

Back with more of "Where the Wild Lights Are" from the end of last year, this one was really insane, a concoction of traffic lights, cars, trucks, street lamps; everything at every conceivable angle and there's more madness to follow.
The name came from that blue streak in the centre, that looks like a sperm cell with lens flare, so hence there conjured the perspective of being within the uterus environment, along the birth canal that gave this a sense of, or an imagination of, a bioluminescent adoption in an artificial landscape of technology, lights as well as the synthetic and engineered apparatus, concluding with the time of the exposure and lens motion, creates in light, what one can do when seeing things in cloud formations.

On the same road and same truck as...
...for "Where the Wild Lights Are", this truck ended up as a pareidolia phenomena which wasn't my original idea, simply following this truck with my camera, hooked to the side of the car on an LE, and this is the result. The name "Dragonemon" is the hybrid of Dragon and Demon as I couldn't decide what it was so I guess it's a play on word.

So much happening right now, so many pieces being moved about the chess board of the ever-expanding realm of human consciousness. And yet so few actually now what is going on. That’s why they call it Esoteric.
The invasion of soldier age Islamist illegal migrants onto western shores, all attacking with knives (ever noticed that?) modus operandi of the field of battle, yet, they’re as much pawns in this game as the victims are, of course I don’t expect a nation’s society to stand idly by when rape and murder is beset upon them, however, after two world wars (Imperialist) then the desecration of Palestine by Israel (Zionist) and now the aforementioned activities (Wahhabism), neatly allowing Israel to re-adjust the narrative making themselves look to be good guys now, aided by the Bondi Beach incident (Interesting timing) this is a slow motion methodology of “Poisoning the Well” a CIA narrative altering strategy and method of pursuing propaganda. So thus, the final initiative for the oil pipeline and reserves can be tapped into beyond Palestinian shores. And beyond the 3 aforementioned factions are the ones who really pull the strings, not your governments.
In recent history: First it was the money (Federal Reserve / Central Banking), second it was the territory and central bank implementation (Middle East Wars), then it’s the minerals (Oil and Agricultural take over) then it’s population control (Constant Fear, Vaccines, Digital ID’s and Internet “Safety” Bills, etc). Marching toward a world central government, single world currency and one world religion.
If you still think it’s Left vs Right, you haven’t got a clue, if you still blame your world “Leaders” and Government than you haven’t got a clue, if you listen to “Alternative” news agencies who only steer the hate and division, then your attention is in the wrong place and you haven’t got a clue. The two great time lines have become very apparent, the kicker is that the ones on the lower time line won’t even realise it, somewhat akin to a patient with Alzheimer’s who won’t realise they are dying from Alzheimer’s, and those at the higher time line look down at the lowers and despair for them!
For those of the higher realm, do not engage with the lower realities, you can only retain a higher vibration, equip oneself with knowledge and go forward (transcend consciousness). If you don’t, you’re just amongst the people of echopraxia!

**Benazir Bhutto (1953–2007)**
Benazir Bhutto was a Pakistani political leader and the first woman to head a Muslim-majority country. Born in Karachi to a prominent political family, she was the daughter of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, a former Prime Minister executed after a military coup. Educated at Harvard and Oxford, Benazir became a symbol of courage, democracy, and women’s empowerment in a deeply patriarchal society.
After years of exile and imprisonment, she returned to Pakistan to continue her fight against corruption, dictatorship, and the alliance between politics and religious extremism. Her goal was to restore democracy and justice to her country.
On December 27, 2007, during a campaign rally in Rawalpindi, Benazir Bhutto was assassinated in an attack involving both gunfire and a suicide bomb. Her death was not an accident — it was the silencing of a woman who challenged the system and exposed the dangerous ties between power, military forces, and extremist groups.
Benazir Bhutto remains a symbol of moral resistance and sacrifice — a reminder that truth and freedom often demand the highest price.
The *Characters* series was created to awaken consciousness and remind people — especially younger generations — that history is also made of voices silenced by power.
Each photograph is an act of memory and resistance, a tribute to those who paid with their lives for truth, courage, and integrity.
These portraits seek to inform, to move, and to raise awareness.
They are small lessons of history, sociology, and above all, humanity.
Because remembering is not just a duty — it is a form of rebellion against indifference.
We are crouching on the rooftop in anticipation of any kind of "undesirable element" to creep up. In which case, I guess we will proceed to pour hot virtual oil on them or something?

Pier Paolo Pasolini (05/03/1922 – 02/11/1975) was an Italian poet, writer, filmmaker, and intellectual, one of the most fearless voices of the 20th century. He exposed injustice, hypocrisy, and corruption in every form, challenging the mafia, political power, and societal lies. His works — from novels to poetry, from films to journalism — were a relentless call to see the truth.
On November 2, 1975, Pasolini was brutally murdered at the Ostia seaside near Rome. The official version blamed a young man considered his friend, with whom he allegedly had a personal relationship. Later testimonies and evidence suggested that the confession was coerced and that the murder was orchestrated to silence him for his uncompromising critique of power and corruption.
Pasolini’s death was not just an assassination: it was a calculated act to extinguish a voice that shone too brightly. His legacy endures through his writings and films, continuing to awaken consciences and challenge lies and injustices in the world.I publish these images to honor those who were killed for truth and to keep their memory alive.
In today’s darkest times, it feels as if their voices never existed, as power continues to suppress and replace them with imitation.
These works are a reminder that truth must never be forgotten.
Hrant Dink
Hrant Dink was born on September 15, 1954, in Malatya, eastern Turkey, into an Armenian family. His father, Sarkis Dink, was from Gürün, and his mother, Gülvart, from Kangal. Around the age of six or seven, his family moved to Istanbul seeking better opportunities. After experiencing family difficulties, including his parents' separation, Hrant and his siblings were partly raised at an Armenian community orphanage in Gedikpaşa, Istanbul. Growing up in this environment, he became deeply aware of the challenges faced by the Armenian minority in Turkey and the complexities of identity in a society that often discriminated against them.
He attended Armenian community schools in Istanbul and later studied zoology at Istanbul University, also pursuing philosophy. During his studies and early adulthood, he developed a strong social and political consciousness, engaging with issues of minority rights, human rights, and democratization in Turkish society. He participated in community initiatives, such as organizing Armenian summer camps for children, and helped run a bookstore with his brothers, gradually becoming a recognized intellectual within the Armenian community.
In 1996, Hrant Dink founded the bilingual weekly newspaper Agos, aimed at fostering dialogue between Turks and Armenians and raising awareness about historical injustices, minority rights, and freedom of expression. As editor-in-chief, he became a prominent public voice, openly addressing sensitive topics like the Armenian genocide, the need for reconciliation, and the protection of minority rights in Turkey.
His outspoken work brought him into conflict with state authorities and nationalist groups. He was repeatedly prosecuted under Article 301 of the Turkish Penal Code for "insulting Turkishness" and received suspended sentences. Despite receiving frequent death threats, the state provided insufficient protection, making him vulnerable yet resolute in continuing his work.
On January 19, 2007, Hrant Dink was assassinated in broad daylight on Halâskârgazi Street in Istanbul, near the offices of Agos. He was shot in the head by Ogün Samast, a seventeen-year-old Turkish nationalist. His funeral drew tens of thousands of mourners chanting "We are all Hrant, we are all Armenians," turning the event into a symbol of civic mobilization. His murder highlighted ongoing threats to freedom of expression, minority rights, and reconciliation efforts in Turkey, with investigations suggesting links between the killer and nationalist networks, and potential involvement of state officials.
Hrant Dink remains a key figure for democracy, minority rights, and Turkish-Armenian reconciliation. The Agos newspaper continues to operate, and the Hrant Dink Foundation was established to promote dialogue, human rights, and memory. His principle—that one can be both Armenian and Turkish and remain committed to peace and justice—remains a guiding example. His life and death continue to symbolize the fight against silence, discrimination, and injustice.
I publish this series of images of people who were killed for defending humanity to awaken consciousness, to inform, and to remind the world of those who stood against injustice, oppression, and abuse of power. These images are a call to remember their courage, honor their struggle, and inspire others to resist the forces that threaten human dignity and freedom.
Giancarlo Siani (1959–1985) was a young and courageous Neapolitan journalist born in Naples, Italy. He grew up in a modest family; his parents instilled in him strong ethical values and a sense of responsibility. Siani was known for his determination, integrity, and unwavering commitment to truth and justice.
He began his journalism career writing for local newspapers and soon joined the daily "Il Mattino," where he covered sensitive topics related to organized crime. Siani focused on exposing the deep-rooted connections between the Camorra, the Neapolitan mafia, and local political authorities, revealing corruption and complicity that many preferred to keep hidden.
He was unmarried and fully devoted to his work, believing that informing the public was a civic duty. His investigations made him a target, as he threatened the interests of powerful criminal and political networks. On September 23, 1985, at just 26 years old, Giancarlo Siani was murdered by the Camorra in a planned ambush near his home in Naples. His death was a direct consequence of his fearless reporting on the collusion between organized crime and local politicians.
The murder shocked Italy and drew widespread public attention, highlighting the dangers faced by journalists who challenge criminal and political powers. Testimonies, court documents, and historical investigations confirm that Siani’s assassination was intended to silence him and to intimidate others who might reveal inconvenient truths. His legacy endures as a symbol of courage, civic responsibility, and the relentless pursuit of justice.
I publish this series of figures to awaken consciences and to remind the world, especially young people, that those who fought for truth, justice, and the rights of the oppressed were often silenced violently. Each person featured represents the courage to confront corruption, abuse of power, and injustice, paying the ultimate price for defending humanity.
This series is a call to remember, reflect, and inspire action: to recognize injustice, to understand the cost of standing for what is right, and to unite in resistance against oppression. Through these stories, I aim to honor their sacrifice and keep alive their message that the people must remain vigilant and courageous.
