ABOUT THE DIVA FOUNDATION
The DIVA Foundation -- founded in 1990 by Tony-nominated actress and HIV/AIDS advocate Sheryl Lee Ralph -- is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, created as a living memorial to the many friends she lost to HIV/AIDS as an original cast member of the Broadway musical “Dreamgirls,” and because of her concern for the threat HIV/AIDS posed to women and children. Over the years, the DIVA Foundation has worked to break the silence and erase the stigma still connected to HIV/AIDS and encourage people to get tested in order to know their HIV status.

A lot has happened since this rally, but not much has changed. Paris, two hurricanes, and he ongoing Russian investigation hasn't changed much of the outlook of Trump or his followers.
It would seem I am no longer young.
Outside the eyes of infantcy
I recieved the painful wisdom.
wanting to become drowned in languages
I slipped in to the recesses
between the earth and sky.
There was music when I serviced
my eyes to Nods.
Heatwaves and Harmony.
A thin angel came to me in the mornings
Revealing the vanity I lost with my purity.
This became a beacon in the confusion.
An awkward circle that is never ending.
Agent Helix: General Flagg, I’m afraid I do not have contact with the Doctor and I am unaware of who this ‘Rose Tyler’ you refer to is. I’m sorry, but I can’t help you.
Cruise: That’s it. Flagg, have her deported!
Flagg: Agent Helix, I cannot stress enough the urgency of the situation.
Helix: And I cannot stress enough my inability to help you. I am sorry, General Flagg.
Cruise: She’s lying, General! She’s lying!
Flagg: Shut up Cruise! My god!
Flagg takes a moment to compose himself while Tom Cruise makes a concentrated effort to look morbidly offended by the outburst.
Flagg: Agent Helix, I’ll ask you one more time…
Helix: Then I will inform you one more time, I am not in the position to help you General. I’m sorry. However, if Action Force can be of service, then I suggest you…
Cruise turns to Helix with fire in his eyes.
Cruise: Well, they could be of service, but it looks like they’re too busy playing cricket at the moment to take our phone calls! What is up with that?
Helix: I’m sorry, General. I don’t know what to say…
Flagg: I sorry too, especially because you don’t seem to grasp the gravity of the situation. What we face here threatens all of humanity and I assure you that the circumstance supersedes any of the military protocol you’re hiding behind. The thing is, you’re supposed to be our allies, Action Force is, and you’re lying to the Chief Commanding Officer of the United States military. You’re lying to my face because your chain of command has abandoned you and not instructed you what you should be doing right now. You’re Rose Tyler… You know it, I know it, and you’re lying to me and putting the world at danger.
Agent Helix: How is the world in danger? And what do I have to do with it? Because you think I’m someone I’m not and have a connection to the Doctor?
Cruise: Ah-ha! So you know who he is!!
Agent Helix: Of course I know who he is! I starred in a show on the tellie about him!
Flagg: Don’t try to tell me the Doctor isn’t real! He’s dealings with my team! I know he’s affiliated with your team! But what I can’t understand is this façade you are trying to put on…
Agent Helix: This is no façade. I’m not Rose Tyler. The person you’re thinking of doesn’t exist!
Cruise: Oh for crying out loud! You are a liar!! You said before you’ve never even heard of her!
Flagg: She is a lair… and she’s extremely good at it. I had Tony Stark build a lie detector built into her seat and she’s passed every question…
Agent Helix: So what do you want from me then?
Flagg: To tell the truth!
Agent Helix: But I am! You just won’t believe me!!
Flagg: No… I don’t. I know the best place to hide something is in plain sight. Better yet, make people forget they’re even looking… The Doctor has coached you well… but you’re making a mistake and I can’t let this happen. I’m sorry… You’re leaving me no choice…( He clicks on a button) Security, I need an armed escort to take Agent Helix to her quarters where she will be under quarantine.
Helix: What? You think I’m really a character from my show on the tellie! You’re mad! Gone daft you ‘ave!
Cruise: Tell it to the funny papers! You know, the lame British ones! You’re gonna regret this Rose Tyler!

The evolution of my Truth tastes. Blogged strawberrysurprise.wordpress.com/2011/07/05/hair-evolutio...
"A truth that's told with bad intent
Beats all the lies you can invent.
It is right it should be so:
Man was made for joy and woe;
And when this we rightly know
Through the world we safely go.
Joy and woe are woven fine,
A clothing for the soul divine.
Under every grief and pine
Runs a joy with silken twine."
At first, I did not intend to submit this photograph as my representation of William Blake's words, but I felt my other image better represented Holga modification. I then read more of the poem than just the history of William Blake and the more I thought this image was appropriate in the context of the lines following the assigned lines about truth and lies. Initially I thought this could represent how perspective skews the truth, since Andy is much taller than I, I stood on a large stone to be taller than him when standing. It seems in the image that he is sitting. The double exposure also adds another layer to the image, with focus on a brick engraved to say "Reebok she could read my mind." Since this message is in all caps without any punctuation and includes a very cryptic reference to a shoe company, the reader can interpret their own truth from this text, just as the viewer can interpret their own truth of a painting or photograph.
The rest of the poem reflects not only my relationship with the subject of the image, but with all of my friends, here or at home. With my graduation looming in the future my time spent with my friends has become both an experience of joy and woe; I greatly enjoy their companionship, but I am disheartened by the vagueness of the future. But, as Blake points out, through all sadness there is a thread of hope and joy.

The Truth About Finances
"If they obey and serve Him,
they shall spend their days in prosperity,
and their years in pleasures." (Job 36:11)
I read some marriage research the other day that made me laugh. Apparently someone did a study of married couples in which they asked the husbands and wives separately how much money they earned as a household and how much total wealth they possessed.
The typical husband tended to report that the couple earns 5 percent more income and has 10 percent more total wealth than the typical wife reported.
I laughed when I read that because I thought to myself, “It’s no wonder there is so much conflict in marriage over money. Couples can’t even agree on how much they have!”
One survey indicated that the average family felt that their financial difficulties could all be solved with 25 percent more income. But when income does increase, a family’s wants and expenses seem to increase right along with it.
Many people are surprised to learn that the Bible has a lot to say about these issues. Luke 19:12-13 records a parable of Jesus that has an important message about money management. “Therefore, a certain nobleman went to a distant country to receive a kingdom for himself, and then return. And he called ten of his slaves, and gave them ten minas, and said to them, ‘Do business with this until I come back.’”
The practical application for us is that Jesus is the nobleman, and we are the servants left in charge of certain resources. The lesson we can learn from this story is that God owns everything. It is not my part, your part, the bank’s part, the government’s part—it is all His. Like the nobleman, He gives it to us to “do business with” for an undetermined time.
The ancient Hebrews had a view of life which I believe has been largely lost today. They believed all of life was God’s business. If you were a carpenter, you were an ordained carpenter—God’s carpenter. If you were a fisherman, you were God’s fisherman—and fishing was holy work.
In your marriage, it’s important to establish financial priorities, agree on a budget you both can live with, and then work together to keep the financial ship afloat. When you do this, there is harmony in the area of your finances. Just remember, true prosperity is not wealth. Prosperity is progress toward a predetermined, worthwhile goal.
Talk It Out | Each of you take a sheet of paper and write down, in order of importance, the top five financial goals you would like to achieve. Compare your lists and discuss how you can form one list from the two. Then pray and ask God to bless these goals and help you achieve them.
Walk It Out | This week, come up with a creative way to go on an inexpensive date. Instead of dinner and a movie, take sandwiches to the park, browse a free museum, or visit a local attraction. Think of other ways you can save money toward achieving your financial goals, without sacrificing your time together.
