... in my tulip
The story behind this photo.
In the past, I took many photos of tulips. They are very photogenic flowers. Most of my floral images were taken in my favourite park. This spring, the park is under renovation. Therefore, I look for tulips elsewhere. One day I came across an old man's (90) beautiful garden. I admired his garden before, not knowing anything about the gardener. This time he came out of his house and greeted me. We started to talk. He told me about himself, about living alone after the love of his life passed away. We talked about his great passion for gardening. ... we talked about me too :) Our encounter was enjoyable for both of us. I took some photos and promised him, that I'll be back and we'll talk again.
Many thanks to those who take the time to view, fave, or comment. It is truly appreciated.

As this is Horace’s first year in Cornwall he is more than keen to get up to speed with places of interest. So we loaded him into the car and set off for St Michael’s Mount.
Hoof was busy on this day wallpapering his lounge, don’t ask, so this was an ideal time to introduce Horace to those famous legends of Cornish folklore Denzil Penberthy and Slipalong Trevaskis, most of you will be familiar with this pair as they fill quite a few columns of celebrity publications.
However for any newcomers that may be unfamiliar with Denzil and Slipalong, plus some of the history of Cornwall you will probably find the following true information facinating.
From about 1193, I say loosely as the internet was a bit unreliable in those days until about 1473 just after the Wars of the Roses, the Mount had weathered many battles.
So from 1473 until this day Denzil and Slipalong have been in charge of security of the Mount and guess what, not a single attempt has been made to launch an attack on it, or even enter the waters of Mounts Bay.
This is largely due to the fact that Penberthy has this ability to drink anyone under the table, and this is the ultimate deterrent for any wannabe troublemaker.
Remember Napoleon who was exiled to the Island of St Helena in 1815 for being defeated at Waterloo. Well that was all set up and a big cover up, basically Denzil challenged Napoleon to a drinking contest in Marazion one Friday afternoon (like you do) well Napoleon was just a lightweight in drinking terms, and did not have the stomach to keep up with Denzil and in turn lost face, and quite a bit else and it all got a bit messy as you can imagine and the rest is history as they say.
Ask Denzil and Slipalong about retirement and they will hear nothing of it, as they feel it is their duty to protect the Mount into eternity.
Horace so enjoyed meeting this pair of legends and came away a very enlightened Pig.
As always thank you so much for viewing my photos and reading these true stories plus the comments you leave.🍺🍺🍺🐎🐷😎😂😂😂

Calvin Dussart and Charles Myncke are two students of the Mons School of Arts. Their project was born in the drawing workshop of said school in the class of Djos Janssens, who advised and guided them throughout the creation of True Story.
They wondered about the many walled windows the city had and what that meant. Their curiosity gave their imagination free rein. They tried to imagine what was going on behind these walled windows with a wink and a nod through reproductions of Hollywood comic books and movie posters from the fifties.

Was in the creek last week and Lance Rudge took a snap of me in the water at almost the same spot and I really liked it hence I decided to compstomp him. LOL. I was here again with Justin Poe and it was his first time hopping around the creek his attractive two-tone waders that he just bought; That I recommended; That lance recommended me to buy 2 years ago. I thought I will grab him a snap with it and he happened to wade to almost the same spot.. Gone are the days where he had to balance on 2 rocks in the creek so to stay dry and to quote DeAnn, "Justin was like a kid in a candy store." #truestory

I am a one year old tom-cat. I was born in Napanee, Ontario at the trailer park. *OSPCA workers found me there and took care of me. Later they placed me at the PetSmart store, so I could find a new family. However, I ran away, taking with me some toys. For a short time, I lived close to the store and visited it to get my meals. OSPCA ladies took care of me again and after the vet's check-up, I was sent to OSPCA facility close to Toronto. Let me tell you, it is one of the most luxurious shelters. A new family found me there and I was adopted.
I am a very energetic, playful and loving boy. I adapted quickly and found endless love.

Yesterday evening I watched the film "The Cove" on DVD.
It is about the true story of dolphins killing in a Japanese town called Taiji. The fishermen there killed 23,000 dolphins every year using spears and knives in a secret lagoon.
The lagoon water was all covered with blood red. The dolphins were struggling in the water and it was such a cruelty scene.
I have to calm myself down with the all-green picture.
The anti-whaling activist Ric O'Barry in the movie asked the audience to act against all these killings and captivity of dolphins (in those aquariums). It is the captivity of dolphins that creates the market of dolphins catching and selling.
I am a pessimistic person. It is so difficult to change human behavior collectively. I believe the only way to stop making more harm to the planet and other wildlifes is to remove human race totally from Earth.
It is sad I am one of the members of this spieces.

So, today I decided to go on the Freedom Trail in Boston. As many of you now, 7-11 allows you to pick either a McCain or Obama to put your coffee in. I chose the McCain cup and got a ridiculous amount of dirty looks all day. It was expected though because everyone knows that Massachusetts is a super liberal state and it's been mostly Democratic for God knows how long. However, I was tying my shoe on a bench and I had my McCain 7-11 Coffee Cup a couple of benches over. The person who happened to be an African American woman in her late thirties, proceded to say, "I wonder what racist left their McCain cup on the bench." I don't think she realized that it was me though because I was a few benches away from it. I didn't say... anything because I was in shock/disgusted at what had happened. Not to mention I was practicing James 3 and I didn't want to cause a scene in the middle of Boston.
I didn't know that ignorance and racism ran so rampid in Boston. I was so sad after this happened. I know that this is not always what happens and that this is not the case, but it's not the first time someone has asked if I'm racist because I'm not going for Obama. Ridiculous... just ridiculous. Apparently, if you don't vote for Obama... you're a racist? What the heck is America getting to.

Just one of those situations where the ol oojamaflip is drashed int deck, translating this from Cornish to English will read -: Emphasis must be placed on securing the tripod and its associated equipment securely into the sand as much as possible then wait in anticipation because when the tide goes back out it nearly takes you and the gear with it.🏊♂️
You then regroup do it all over again until you get a shot that (a) is not out of level and (b) looks half sensible, well actually that is a decision you good people will make.
Then it is back to the rocks and drink in the wonderful surroundings as darkness falls over the Camel Estuary, like a little piece of Heaven. 😎

this was in a hotel bar that i kinda, sorta, crashed. the building itself looked like a cathedral, but when i found out it was a hotel i figured i would risk getting yelled at for entering those imposing golden doors. as it turns out, the man who greeted me listened to my plea to "only take a few images" with kind amusement. the fact that i was holding the rolleicord probably helped - max does seem to disarm people with his charm :)

This story is 100% true.
As many of you know I have strived to head to The Racetrack in Death Valley for many years but have been thwarted by many obstacles. So even though I was repeatedly told NOT to go to the Racetrack with anything less than a 4x4 with 2 spare tires, I took my trusty Toyota Corolla rental car on the 55 mile journey anyway.
I got to the beginning of the Racetrack road at 9:30am after waking up before sunrise at 5am to shoot Badwater at sunrise. I started down the road just to test it out, and then began to pray to either give me a clear sign not to continue, or with a forced sense of patience, let me average under 10mph and make it to my destination. I prayed the ENTIRE way, because I was scared. $2,000 to tow me out if I get stuck. I had really work on my patience as I was leaning over my steering wheel navigating sharp rocks, washboard road and other obstacles. I prayed to allow me to see these mysterious rocks so I could somehow return the favor and glorify Him. Not really sure what that meant at the time.
Inside me I knew with the beautiful white puffy clouds that finding the rocks with my camera and wide angle lens and filters that I very well could potentially take some of my best photos ever. I’m not sure if it was the rocks and Racetrack I was interested in, or just to make the journey there.
27 miles and 3 ½ hours later averaging 6.4mph, I made it to the Racetrack which I previously documented my extreme pleasure in arriving there. I shot the rocks, but because of the excitement and lack of real research, did not find the rocks which really had the great dragged lines behind them. I shot the rocks I could see on the south-west area of the lakebed, and then went back to my car and read some James and Acts. Thought if I were to really connect with God, this would be the best place for absolutely no distractions and nothing else around except His wonderful creations.
Before I left, I though… how cool would it be to just put my Bible on the Racetrack and shoot it. It was windy, so the pages kept flipping around. I must have shot 20+ shots, but they were all bad because the pages were mid-flip, or the horizon was off, or one thing or another. Finally I got this shot. One shot that pretty much captured what I wanted. And I was happy. So I left. But now, I have another 27 miles of 6.4mph to get out, with just as much danger. Prayed the entire way and when I made it to the paved road… did a LOT of thanking Him. Either way, it was a religious experience because if nothing else, because I felt that God was on my side. He wanted me to be there, but I wasn’t sure why. I didn’t really even see the best rocks of the Racetrack, but felt perhaps my Bible shot would be my favorite shot instead.
I printed out a small print and showed it to a guy I worked with and told him the story behind it. Immediately he said, “What Chapter and Verse is that page on!?”. I dunno, the wind was flapping the pages so fast, I have NO idea. So I went back to the hotel and zoomed in and it was the end of Mark 1 and the beginning of Mark 2. So, Mark 2 says – Jesus heals a paralyzed man. Nothing. Told him, Sorry, there is nothing significant about the page randomly stopping and me getting my only good shot of it.
A couple days later I re-looked at the shot and wondered, “What was on the very top of the first page… the end of Mark 1? I re-opened my bible and read the first complete verse on that page:
Before daybreak the next morning, Jesus got up and went out to an isolated place to pray. (Mark 1:35)
I never got such goosebumps before in my life. He talked to me. I just wanted to share it with everyone.
Anyway, I have had quite a few requests for this photo, but am still trying to figure out what to do about it. I created a posted with the verse at the bottom, which I would be happy to share. I’m also considering selling prints of this with the proceeds going to either Death Valley National Park, or perhaps a conservatorship. Not sure. Any suggestions? I don’t want the money, I’m just thankful I was able to see it and make it out alive. And now I feel real alive.

The Lord Jesus Is My Savior | God’s word "The True Story Behind Work in the Age of Redemption"
www.holyspiritspeaks.org/videos/true-story-behind-work-in...
Introduction
Almighty God says, "Jesus represents all the work of the Age of Grace; He was incarnated and crucified, and inaugurated the Age of Grace. He was crucified in order to complete the redemptive work, to end the Age of Law and begin the Age of Grace … The work of Jesus represents only the Age of Grace; it does not represent the Age of Law and is no substitute for the work of the last days. This is the essence of Jesus’ work in the Age of Grace, the second age of mankind—the Age of Redemption."
