Was going through some old photos tonight trying to find ones to use in a presentation and ran across a whole bunch of photos I'd completely forgotten about.
FJ40 1977 a true built not bought weapon that is the real deal. Nowadays we see so many 40 Series restored and are now classic cars for the enthusiast and all to often they rarely see any real action. Here is a fine example of a FJ40 that is a real bush rig, custom built and kept alive by it's owner, still rocking the 2F and probably always will... Agricultural equipment being used on the land. The AMAUTA Volunteer Program provides the unique opportunity to live and work in either Peru or Argentina. Volunteers experience the rich, cultural diversity of the country of their choice while developing their Spanish skills. This unique opportunity allows volunteers to contribute to society and bridge the gap between foreign visitors and locals.
AMAUTA works with many local charity projects, and each volunteer may choose both the field and preferred location of his or her placement. Possible fields of interest include social work, education, medical, tourism, and cultural work. Placement sites include orphanages, schools, hospitals, nursing homes, and projects for street children. While most of the projects take place in main cities, there are also projects located in rural areas.
For every volunteer a project receives, AMAUTA also helps with financial support by purchasing various items such as medical supplies, food, infrastructure improvements, or educational materials. All volunteer programs include four weeks of Spanish study followed by your volunteer work experience. Each program has a different commitment time frame, and specialized skills are not necessary. We only ask that each volunteer is motivated to help the people these projects work to support.
Likewise, the Internship Program provides an opportunity to gain valuable work skills in a variety of fields. This program is especially designed for students and recent graduates who are looking for a challenging working experience abroad.

For Spring Break my family came to me this year :)
They stayed at the Helmsley at Lido Beach and had the best view of the ocean. Out of 200 pictures taken, only 11 were taken for my portfolio. We had so much fun and I can only wish they eventually move here as well. Beach, sun, and ME...what more could they ask for!!
The daylight version if you will. Cars are most impressive at night. They glimmer and glow, and like your average club goer they hide imperfections in voids of shadow. That's why the previous true black example seemed so colorful and full of life. It was shot in a night-like setting with very little light. This shot however was not, though it is still true black. Look at the dark recesses outlining the contours and details. They are black. The high amount of white light covers everything in grey though there's enough proportional black to make it 'pop' like the car of your dreams should. It's all in the contrast. The right amount of light to dark contrast is the key to a realistic yet fantastic looking image.

Now, finally some pictures from my side ^ ^ I sat and sewed a pair of flowery shorts to Wendela, and when I was done I felt that I might as well take some pictures of her, have not had as many individual photo shoots with her, so it was definitely her turn now! ^ ^
When I shoot Wendela it will always be images so cute and pinkish, do not really know why! I hope I will soon find a new wig for her, I'm not 100% satisfied with this pink, it's a very nice wig but I do not like the color of it! :(
Hopefully it will get more pictures soon of the girls, Isabel wants to be photographed as well, so I must try to throw together an outfit for her and take some pictures of her also before the summer is over! :)
The reason why Wendela holding a muffin with a candle in is because she wanted to congratulate his sister, who turned one year a while ago, on 16 March. I was unfortunately busy being in love when it was ;) So that's why there were no CONGRATULATING then! But now we say Congratulations to Anna Isabell! Love you my dear! ♥

Worthy sites
The monument in the School park is the rest of the Soviet cemetery. The Obelisk, characteristic of such monuments, conforms to Soviet requirements for the design of such structures at that time. These were designed by Soviet architects and built in Stalinist style. The complex at the New Cemetery also meets these design requirements. The same was true of the former burial ground on the Main square.
During the occupation, regular celebrations took place in the Stalin park and on the Main square, for example at the "Red Army Day" (23 February) or the Anniversaries for the Liberation of Vienna (13 April) and the Liberation from National Socialism (8 May). In other parts of Lower Austria, the monuments of the Red Army were dismantled contrary to the agreement in the State Treaty. In Amstetten this obelisk still has a permanent place as a souvenir object to the postwar period.
"The Russian graves are now a worthy burial ground and a memorial against the war." Here, according to the available data, 233 Soviet citizens are buried. Some of them were soldiers of the Red Army who fell in the fightings having taken place between Vienna and Amstetten or died for various reasons during the occupation in Amstetten. Most of the buried people are Soviet forced laborers or POWs. "When you stand in front of the tombstones and read the inscriptions, you see how young the dead were. If you realize then that these men had women, children, parents and siblings, then you realize how cruel wars are. Only the transfer into one's own psyche makes the history and the horrors of war tangible. "
United in death
The former Stalin park is today the center of the culture of remembrance in Amstetten. Here is the war memorial built in 1960 in honor of the fallen of the city during the First and Second World War. Next to it stands a memorial stone commemorating the resistance fighters of the city who were killed by the Nazi regime. It was first erected in 1965 at the Old Cemetery and moved in 1998 in the School park. Next to the Monument to the Soldiers of the Red Army is a memorial dedicated to the Holocaust-destroyed Jewish community of Amstetten. It is designed in a modern style and was built in 1999 in the park.
"In the Amstetten School park, the absurdity of the war is felt most strongly. Here stands the war memorial for the fallen of both world wars, next to the memorial for the Soviet soldiers, the resistance fighter and the one of the Jews who fell victim to the Holocaust. In death, they are all united. That is why the funeral and commemorative culture is so important. It is not only a keepsake for the dead, but above all a reminder to the living. And above all, it is one thing: an investment in peace. "
Würdige Stätten
Das Denkmal im Schulpark ist der Rest des sowjetischen Friedhofes. Der, für solche Denkmäler charakteristische, Obelisk entspricht den sowjetischen Vorgaben für die Gestaltung derartiger Bauwerke in jener Zeit. Diese wurden von sowjetischen Architekten geplant und im stalinistischen Stil gebaut. Auch die Anlage am Neuen Friedhof entspricht diesen Gestaltungsvorgaben. Das gleiche galt für die ehemalige Begräbnisstätte am Hauptplatz.
Während der Besatzungszeit wurden im Stalinpark und auf dem Hauptplatz regelmäßig Feierlichkeiten abgehalten, beispielsweise beim „Ehrentag der Roten Armee“ (23. Februar) oder den Jahrestagen zur Befreiung Wiens (13. April) sowie der Befreiung vom Nationalsozialismus (8. Mai). In anderen Orten Niederösterreichs wurden die Denkmäler der Roten Armee entgegen der Vereinbarung im Staatsvertrag abgetragen. In Amstetten hat dieser Obelisk noch heute einen festen Platz als Erinnerungsobjekt an die Nachkriegszeit.
„Die Russengräber sind nun eine würdige Begräbnisstätte und ein Mahnmal gegen den Krieg.“ Hier sind, den vorliegenden Daten zufolge, 233 sowjetische Staatsangehörige bestattet. Ein Teil von ihnen waren Soldaten der Roten Armee, die bei den Kämpfen zwischen Wien und Amstetten gefallen oder aus unterschiedlichen Gründen während der Besatzungszeit in Amstetten verstorben sind. Die meisten Bestatteten sind sowjetische Zwangsarbeiter oder Kriegsgefangene. „Wenn man vor den Grabsteinen steht und die Inschriften liest, sieht man wie jung die Toten waren. Wenn man sich dann vor Augen führt, dass diese Männer Frauen, Kinder, Eltern und Geschwister hatten, dann wird einem erst bewusst wie grausam Kriege sind. Erst der Transfer in die eigene Psyche macht die Geschichte und die Gräuel des Krieges greifbar.“
Im Tod vereint
Der ehemalige Stalinpark ist heute das Zentrum der Erinnerungskultur in Amstetten. Hier befinden sich das 1960 erbaute Kriegerdenkmal zu Ehren der Gefallenen der Stadt während des Ersten und des Zweiten Weltkrieges. Daneben steht ein Gedenkstein, der an die Widerstandkämpfer der Stadt erinnert, die vom NS-Regime getötet wurden. Er wurde im Jahr 1965 zuerst am Alten Friedhof aufgestellt und 1998 in den Schulpark verlegt. Neben dem Denkmal für die Soldaten der Roten Armee befindet sich ein Mahnmal, das der im Holocaust vernichteten, jüdischen Gemeinde von Amstetten gewidmet ist. Es ist in modernem Stil ausgeführt und wurde 1999 in der Parkanlage errichtet.
„Im Amstettner Schulpark wird der Widersinn des Krieges am stärksten spürbar. Hier steht das Kriegerdenkmal für die Gefallenen beider Weltkriege, neben dem Denkmal für die Sowjetsoldaten, dem der Widerstandkämpfer und jenem der Juden, die dem Holocaust zum Opfer fielen. Im Tod sind sie alle vereint. Deshalb ist die Begräbnis- und Gedenkkultur so wichtig. Sie ist nicht nur ein Andenken für die Toten, sondern vor allem eine Mahnung an die Lebenden. Und sie ist vor allem eines: Eine Investition in den Frieden.“
