Since the Sun is so bright it's not easy to capture true colour images of it. This one started out with infrared data. Then astronomers used advanced computer software to determine what colours would be seen where based on that data.
On October 5th, Seton Hall formally launched a new alumni recognition program called True Blue during a ceremony on campus. Several hundred alumni, parents, students and community members attended the celebration as part of Seton Hall University Weekend.

Norfolk Southern's 64E sports a true heritage unit as it passes 13th Street in Manville. A Southern Pacific, number 6195 passes the camera.
Here comes the fun part. Grinding down the high spots so the fretboard is perfectly level again. I'm using a stew-mac 8" long sanding block that has a 12" concave radius. this will keep the original radius of the fretboard.the blue tape on the headstock is there to protect it in case I slip since the sandpaper I'm using is 80 grit and could go through finish in less than a micro second if given half the chance.
surprisingly I didn't loose any of the inlay dots while doing this. however I did end up having to do another unusual repair that will be the topic of my next post.
