Anemone blanda taken in my garden. These hardy little flowers put up with whatever the weather throws at them but they will only open in the sun.

Reading & Northern's WHFF with a "Scream'in Demon" SD40-2 leading is doing just that.....scream'in toward the top of the grade out of Hazleton at McAdoo, PA on a comfortable spring evening. I heard the slot for this train has been pushed to nights.
Many may get the words here but it definitely a Southern thang....now we are talking scratch made choked off biscuits (big and fluffy) along with thick flour gravy with chunks of sausage floating in this as the biscuit is split open and slathered with gravy....yeah that is love 😉

There are only two mistakes one can make along the road to truth; not going all the way, and not starting.
Last weekend I attended the PSNZ (Photographic Society of New Zealand) wildlife workshop where we went to a colony of gannets at the very picturesque Cape Kidnappers in Hawke's Bay.
It was a really enjoyable day out but going through over a 1000 images is a bit of a mission!

Padley Gorge is a deep but narrow valley in the Peak District, Derbyshire Nr the village of Grindleford.
The gorge is wooded with a stream, the Burbage Brook. This stream used to form the boundary between Derbyshire and Yorkshire.
Padley Gorge begins near Grindleford Station at a stile where a post has been installed. Although the valley continues up towards Hathersage Road and Burbage, the gorge finishes at the edge of the woodland.
Due to the wet weather capturing this image was risky to say the least, the ground muddy, rocks slimy and the bank very steep in places, adding to all of this was the fast flowing and in places deep water!
I was stunned at the strong bond these two had. There were about 3 or 4 different photos of these two expressing their love to each other and this is my favorite.
I put the flower on the top of a glass and took the photo. After that, I used PS to change the color!
It's a blue day in Sydney.
And we're all 'true blue', lol.

Always watch out for Bondi Express buses that drive perilously close to the pedestrian walkway. Unless, of-course, you want to go to Bondi!!

Lilium (members of which are true lilies) is a genus of herbaceous flowering plants growing from bulbs, all with large prominent flowers. The genus has more than a hundred species.
Lilies are a group of flowering plants which are important in culture and literature in much of the world. Most species are native to the temperate northern hemisphere, though their range extends into the northern subtropics. Many other plants have "lily" in their common name but are not related to true lilies.
De lelie (Lilium) is een geslacht van kruidachtige planten, behorend tot de leliefamilie. Het geslacht telt meer dan honderd soorten, waarvan de meeste voorkomen op het Noordelijk Halfrond.
De planten uit het geslacht zijn vooral bekend als tuinplanten. Sommige soorten hebben eetbare bollen, die bijvoorbeeld in China traditioneel als voedsel worden gekweekt.
De soorten uit het geslacht Lilium staan bekend als de ware lelies.
Er zijn ook veel planten met "lelie" in de naam, maar zijn geen lelies.
Deze foto is gemaakt in een van de tuinen van zorgboerderij De Passieflorahoeve bij Harskamp op de Veluwe.

Another shot from my light painting evening a week ago. I made a kind of light stock with an led strip light and got this effect from that.
This image is from the archives and when Ann and I were there it was early only 0830 and this guy was totally fascinated with Ann's Hat and the the fact that she had an orange she was eating. I thought it was true love hehe !
