The trophy room
In one of his mansion chambers, the Fly Monster contemplates his trophies while enjoying a drink.
He keeps his gun close, because he never knows when a assassin spider can come out from the dark and attack him!

Entry for my LUG’s (Comunidade 0937) Minifigures Series 14 Contest – Real World Category
This category is supposed to show the minifig interacting with the real world and it could or could not have any other constructions.
In the beginning I intended to just photograph the Fly Monster looking at a frame with dead spiders (something I made when I was a kid and that after all this years it never found its way to the garbage despite several attempts from many members of my family).
But then things escalated very quickly and I ended up with a massive wall.

HMS Dauntless's Quarterdeck team bring the ship alongside in Bahrain. The team work in a tight and extremely hot workspace on a type 45 destroyer in the Middle East. The soaring temperatures in an enclosed space with very few openings prove demanding for such an intensely physical evolution.

Christmas present from my daughters in-laws :)
I gave the real trophy to my hunting lodge back in 2011. I like this one better :)

Manfred von Richthofen decorated his bedroom in his parent's home in East Prussia with trophies of his air victories. When Richthofen died the same thing would happen to souvenirs from his aircraft.
Hard work pays off. After his extra practice session the hockey player gets to lift the trophy after winning the tournament
I am still high up in the Pyrenees, relaxing with my two husbands, my new fiancé Count Alberic Glass - plus the wonderful Lady Lavinia Baverstock and her charming husband the Earl of Maidenhead. Naturally, Lady Lavinia and I have been sleeping with each other's husbands!!
I took the chance to Zoom with Lady Amanda Barclay last night, and she informed me that the girls have been exceptionally busy at The Salon, with many anxious Lords wondering if they have a future after 4 July (such an ironic date!!!).
Speaking of the General Election in the UK, Lord Trembath and Lord Quentin Mowbray have been seen on the TV talking about the policies of their fringe political party. I saw Mowbray pontificatng once again about "the vital role of the aristocracy in a democacy". I believe that one of their handful of candidates is running in the same constituency as the infamous Count Binface!!! Watch this space...

Here are all three trophies that will be given out at BrickCon 2010 for this year's best Small, Medium, and Large Battle Bugs respectively. If you want to win one of them, build a Battle Bug and bring it to this year's BrickCon
I wanted to make three trophies where the ants stay the same size, but the scale they're presented in changes.
*The design for the Large trophy is an adaptation of Nathan Proudlove's design, built with his permission
One of the unusual Bristol LH coaches, bodied by Marshall of Cambridge, which were, I think, unique to the Royal Blue coaching fleet of the Western National Omnibus Co. It is seen shortly after leaving Marlborough Street Bus & Coach Station, Bristol, on Sunday 15th May 1977.
Not normally an habitué of public houses, I was once or twice prevailed upon to patronise the Trophy Tavern, across the road there. It was one of several pubs grouped around the bus station. Bus drivers preferred the White Horse, a matter of paces from the bus station's exit and usually standing room only, or the Bay Horse, a more commodious establishment a hundred yards further off.
Perhaps the Trophy Tavern was a little too genteel, with its pastel-coloured plush seats and, I seem to remember, nautically themed décor and decorative impedimenta. It occupied the ground floor of Avon House, constructed in great haste as the headquarters of the County of Avon (laughter) and must, therefore, date from about 1973-4. It seemed rather like the bar of a large Rank cinema, and the relief sculpture that formed the exterior of the ground floor was but a foretaste of the period delights within. What a pity I never thought to photograph such things. I hated them then and, incapable of sloughing off the accumulated prejudices of a lifetime, don't really care for them now. But they have acquired Period Charm and it would be nice to think that something remained. At the time they seemed permanent ...certain to endure for the rest of my life at least... but Google Maps street view shows a Beefeater restaurant called the Bristol Fashion. The bas-relief affair has been removed and replaced by a grisly post-modern arcaded frontage.
The Pirate Theme trophies for BrickCon 2013 are:
- Captain
- Swordsman
- Explorer
*The ship is actually three sections, one for each trophy. The BrickCon 1x8 bricks will be replaced with the trophy bricks.
Trophy Skulls or remembering the meat we had. Lined up along the outside wall of this old out building, just a reminder or a warning? Shot in North Carolina

The MZ Trophy motorcycle was named after the company's phenomenal success in the International Six Days Enduro in 1963, 1964, 1965, 1966, 1967 and 1969.
I was recently able to fulfil an ambition and visit the ISDE for myself.
Not only that but I got to visit the former MZ factory in Zschopau, Saxony, Germany - I.e. The Z in MZ. I was keen to do this because for about six years I owned an MZ Baghira 660 and loved it. One of my favourite bikes of all time - I'm still not sure why I sold it :-(
And to complete the experience I saw this old MZ Trophy just outside the factory.
After Paseo it was time for dessert even though there was no way we could eat anymore. My other flickr friend Princess of IIyr discovered that Trophy makes a Green Tea Cupcake and it was close to my house! They only make the green tea ones on Saturday and Tuesday I think so today was the best day to head over for a cupcake! Wallingford Seattle
