Sadly, this was the only picture I was able to take of Truck. It was so cold, we never made it to the shore.
The roommates, Michael, Jehu, a couple friends, and I went camping at the coast, for the Fourth of July.

...I'm off again... just waiting for Dad to get home and we are heading to Myrtle Beach, S.Carolina for a few days... Dad hopes we have time to walk on the beach, so I dressed in my beach gear :D

It just doesn't get better than a family road trip/camping trip/holiday. This was taken this summer in Southern Colorado on our way to a new camp site. my dad and I had a harrowing experience helping my uncle to change a blown out tire on the side of the highway prior to this. Luckily, it let go in the valley where the road was nice and level, haha.

There is a wonderful appeal to taking road trips with a partner or friend whether it is a day trip or longer. Forget the world abroad and explore the here and now. If you keep it simple, you can enjoy the moment more. This summer has been great for our little adventures but the fall is still ahead of us.
This is a stretch of US 60 between Socorro, NM and Springerville, AZ. I took a series of photos through the windshield with my trusty Canon S90 (I wasn't driving at the time!). This is a favorite because it really portrays that section of NM.
the beginning of a road trip is always so exciting, the anticipation of the unknown, the relief that you finally got your shit together enough so that you could drive away without any worries. Inevitably you will discover you've forgotten something to bring but its always remedied, and every day brings new scenery to exhilarate, but at some point in the trip, when you had already pondered extending this exquisite pleasure, it hits you, a wave of homesickness, and then its time to turn around and return to familiar hills and valleys, home sweet home.
