2012 Christmas present for Randy.
6th of 7 quilts made for my family for Christmas 2012.
Pattern is Mary's Triangles with Triangles from Sally Schneider's Book - Scrap Mania. Pattern is also known as Chain of Threads or Chain of Friendship.
The back was designed to use left over yardage.
Quilt is approximately 56 1/2" x 76 1/2"
Fabrics are from Moda's brushed cotton Preppy Plaids line - purchased from CityCraft - citycraftonline.com/ & from WhipStitch - www.etsy.com/shop/WhipstitchFabrics/
The background fabrics are a mix of Kona & Moda Bella light blues & beiges purchased from The Fat Quarter Shop - www.fatquartershop.com/
I used the "smooth" side of the brushed cotton for the front of the quilt & the "brushed" side for the back & the binding. I did not wash the fabrics prior to making the quilt as I usually do with a true flannel & love the extra crinkly look the quilt has after washing.
Thread used for quilting was Aurifil 50 wt in Beige (2000) purchased from The Fat Quarter Shop - www.fatquartershop.com/
Batting used is Quilter's Dream, 100% Cotton, Request loft. Purchased from Hancock's of Paducah - www.hancocks-paducah.com/
I am in love with this batting!
Relied heavily on EQ7 to plan this quilt.

A very odd looking Triangle shaped house. In Alpine areas houses are built with sloped roofs so that the snow does not build up, however no snow ever falls on Great Barrier Island
Triangle Lake is an unincorporated community in Lane County, Oregon, United States. It is about 25 miles (40 km) west of Junction City on Oregon Route 36, on the southwest side of the lake of same name. Lake Creek, a tributary of the Siuslaw River, enters and exits the lake.[2] Triangle Lake is closely linked to the unincorporated community of Blachly, on the northeast side of the lake, and the two communities share the K-12 Triangle Lake School, the only school in Blachly School District.
The 293-acre (1.19 km2) lake has had various names over the years, including Loon Lake, Lake of the Woods, and Echo Lake, but the name Triangle Lake (after the lake's shape) became the official name in the early 1900s. Before Fern Ridge Reservoir was completed in 1941, the lake was the most popular local spot for water sports.
Amenities at Triangle Lake County Park include two picnic tables, a boat dock, and toilets. Activities at the lake include boating, swimming, and fishing.
Fish species in the lake, which reaches a depth of 90 feet (27 m), include largemouth bass, bluegill, yellow perch, brown bullhead, kokanee, and cutthroat trout. The kokanee, landlocked sockeye salmon, thrive in the deep water, while good bass habitat is found along the south and east shores.
The bright stars Vega, Deneb and Altair form the asterism "Summer Triangle." The Milky Way is dense in this area. This is a composite of 12 stacked images at 18mm, ISO 3200, f/3.5; Tilghman Island, Maryland.

The book's author was charged with homosexuality at age 22 in 1939 in Nazi Germany, & a few months later sent to Sachsenhausen, a concentration camp in East Germany, & made to wear a pink triangle. His father was forced out of his job & committed suicide.
I am not & have never been religious, but it is my hope that those who are religious will cease being bigoted; & likewise, if one wishes to be truly free of the rusted shackles of bigotry, replace 'tolerance' or 'forgiveness' with Hi, Hello, What's up, Let's go for a drink, Come on over, How's your lover, I wanna meet your spouse, Please take my kids out fishing on your boat, Hurray!

Built from blueprints dated October, 1944, the Triangle Motel at 7954 Amarillo Boulevard East Amarillo, Texas, was one of the first motels built on Route 66. Cream-colored brick veneer was hand-cut and oven-dried in Amarillo.
Called "A Tourist Court", the Triangle Motel was a God-sent haven midway to California, offering comfortable suites with one 12x16 room, the other one 12x12. The bathrooms with extra-large tiled showers--3x5--were also unexpected luxury for weary travelers in the middle forties.
