I love trees.

Only by delving into the mind and philanthropic spirit of the never-enough-praised Puig i Valls brothers, can one come to understand the simultaneously aesthetic and cultural desire that prompted them to build romantic-style gardens at the entrance of his estate at the beginning of the 20th century.

We can still sense the shady and cool atmosphere that they wanted to recreate, full of hidden corners that highlighted the remains of the Roman quarries, and where they wanted to lead the visitor to reflect on the importance of culture, nature and respect for less favored, and the need to recover trees as totemic elements that link earth and sky, man, nature and its spirit.

Mariano Puig i Valls, poet, and Rafael Puig i Valls, forest engineer, passed on a magnificent legacy that has been partially preserved, and which perfectly connects the natural environment with one of the great works of the Roman Tarraco : the Ferreres Aqueduct.
