A little rain could not deter 60 tree-mendous volunteers who helped plant 40 trees...and came ready to plant more! Thank you to the volunteers, neighbors of South Beaverton, and the City of Beaverton for such a successful morning! These trees will be a part of a healthier, greener future for all!

We got stuck for three hours on our way back from work one day. Some guy (apparently a treeplanter) rolled his car and bled to death waiting for an ambulance.
My view from the cash (where we store tree seedlings), the left side of the road is my piece.

Treeplanting all day every day can take its toll on some. Injury can effect the body and mind.

November 2019, it had been bad weather for most of the tree planting season on SMithills Estate. Saturday was Public planting day and I was on hand to record. The rain had cleared and it was a cold and frosty start. The public came and planted lots and lots of trees during the lovely day. Then the sun started to set, we gathered up the tools, left over saplings and stakes and headed down to the cars. Looking back up the hill, the sky turned a lilac and then to orange as it sank down over the top of the fields and into the Irish Sea on the coast.
The newly planted stakes, the silhouettes of the public and volunteers against the orange sky, a fleck of clouds and a lone plane in the sky. I can still recall the start of another frosty evening after a lovely day.
