A more subdue, true to Portland rendition of this famous little tree. I am really loving the muted tones and plan on adding this one to my personal collection as a very large print.
On Wednesday we enjoyed a delicious breakfast at the Inn on Isle Aux Coudres before boarding the bus for the ferry and leaving the island behind. We drove south along the Saint Lawrence River stopping at St. Anne de Beaupre Basilica for lunch and sightseeing and Albert Gilles Copper Art Museum. We ate dinner at Les Continents Buffet in Charlesbourg north of Quebec City. Afterwards we drove to our motel in Montreal.

An Appalachian Mountain view that reminds me of Robert Frost's verse from his poem Mending Wall:
"There where it is we do not need the wall:
He is all pine and I am apple orchard.
My apple trees will never get across
And eat the cones under his pines, I tell him.
He only says, "Good fences make good neighbours."
Spring is the mischief in me, and I wonder
If I could put a notion in his head:
"Why do they make good neighbours? Isn't it
Where there are cows? But here there are no cows."
Before I built a wall I'd ask to know
What I was walling in or walling out,
And to whom I was like to give offence.
Something there is that doesn't love a wall"
Don't you agree we are building far too many walls (political, social, cultural, gender, religious, etc., etc., etc.) between us, and giving far too much offence?
