Sometimes I go out and just look up. I go round and round and round and feel the freedom and immense power of the trees and just admire them - makes me dizzy - but it's worth it for the natural "buzz".
This is a tree at the end of my road. It was just sitting there, dormant. I was sorta dormant that day too, so I stood there and shot a tree. This was one of the dustings of snow we had. Nothing big. Just a snowy tree.

This was an idea that did not turn out liked I imagined. :o[ It's "ok"...just not like my vision.
It's quite small...about 2 inches. The leaf cane slices are tiny.
Quite a common bird around my home, I was surprised to find that they respond to a recording of a call played through a small speaker from an Ipod.
Not entirely happy with the shot; lacks the fine feather detail I like. Will try again when the sun reappears!
